Well I sit typing to you peeps from my new laptop. 17 inch screen, number pad right on the side for easy use in the upcoming accounting classes, and a crystal friggin clear screen and webcam. I have been kind of idling about on it the last 24 hours, in between my responsibilities, and found the webcam button today. Behold...although the subject may scare you(I'm about to go workout and haven't refixed that pigtail so bite me ahead of time!), just look at the picture! You can even see the contents of my mantle in the far background.

*sigh* Well, I suppose I should actually use it for what I bought it for: school. :p

What brand laptop is it? Nice pic btw.

Acer Aspire 6930...looked at the HP equivalent and it came down to looks. This one was just sleeker to me.
Thx...I have no shame...no makeup, no problem :lmao:

Very cool Jty! I wish I could get a new laptop, I'm very jealous. And you look cute as always.

You look great jty.

It's for school...I had to pay for it from school funds. Technically the cam and such are not needed but you know :uhsure: if they are there...swirls foot in sand :-)

I will chime in and woot your laptop.
Kudos on the new computer as well...
:evillaugh:
:cheersmate:

Hey, you're cute!
Just as I thought you would be.
Always fun to get a new toy -- the camera works great.
Me, I use a 13" laptop because I have to travel so much with it. In the office, I plug it into an external monitor and keyboard.

Aww, that's sweet. I don't need it for the gym that's for sure since it's pointless and that's where I was headed shortly after that.
You all are very sweet with the comments but they were totally unnecessary. I was just really excited by how clear and sleek this thing is and wanted to share.
free, I get why you carry a smaller one. I would too if I traveled extensively. Basically, what I use it for is school so I just need something a little more portable then a desktop, but with a lot of the same 'amenities'. I tend to take mine out to study and write papers and all that. Also, I use mine for movies so the screen being bigger and having a good picture is awesome. Also nice for the photo editing we do for senior pics and such.

Ooh, that reminds me...I should update the mods on my progress. :evillaugh: :-) :hyper:

I was going to say. My dad's older then FD and he's into all the gadgetry and his first puter was a TI something back in the early 80's. Speaking of days of lore, I was in Office Max the other day and they had two typewriters in a bottom corner somewhere for sale still. I pointed them out to my oldest who is in 'keyboarding' class now.

If by hawt you mean unkempt and about to get sweaty...then yes, it was 'hawt'. :evillaugh:

:hitit: :agree:
you'd 'hit' that puter? :o :evillaugh:

I am having to use a much larger, but newer laptop. My smaller one (13.5") will not connect after the latest windows update (imagine that) and I got tired of 'effin with it.
I liked the smaller one, as it's been everywhere with me....
As for Jetty's new laptop, the picture is awesome and really clear! Cute picture also, is that your younger sister?

When I started using computers, I had to use a card punch to program (COBOL 68).

My last year of High School is when they finally got rid of rotary calculators.
Nice laptops.
