Malaise, this is for you!

I wish I had taken my camera to the local convenience store when I ran to get cigs and a newspaper just now. I went into the store, picked up the cigs and the newspaper, came back out got in the truck, the windows were up, and a small little SUV type car pulled up next to me in a very tight spot. I couldn't get out of my spot because a taxi-van had parked blocking me in, so I sat opening my smokes to light up when I noticed a Jamaican flag on the little SUV. Then, the people started getting out of the car. Apparently they had seen my Veterans for Obama sticker. The father got out first, we exchanged smiles, then three little stair step girls filed in front of my truck, smile, smilier, and smiliest. They stood there smiling as a snapshot in time, not a word was exchanged, but we knew one another!

2. I love you.
And I would've given anything to have been sitting in that truck with you.

Those pictures of Life happen so rarely.

I would like to think that they share themselves with the deserving few.

And you, lonestarnot, are certainly one of those few.

4. Thank you
I was in the city market yesterday, and there was a new group of homeless, about 15 or so in the park by the market looking like a tiny bonus army.

They were not polite.
They were, in fact, rather angry.

That was my vision of the future all yesterday.
Yours informs my day today.

PS, if your convenience store is local enough, consider riding a bicycle to it. You won't get parked in, and you will experience less guilt when smoking that cigarette on the way home.

The Obama stickers on my bike and helmet seem to get a lot of positive feedback.
Of course, negative feedback from drivers might be real negative around here.
My town is ranked last in the nation for bikability.

25. Can you imagine how those little girls identify with
 Obama's kids.

It probably didn't occur to the lonestarnut that they were smiling because for some of us, smiling comes naturally and easily, no matter the spectacle in front of us.

TiTtyboy is still trying to recover from his admission to being a petty thief, this time by professing love for a fellow pathological liar. A strange strategy, but in DU "society" it may make sense.

As one who spends time in parking lots at the grocery store, the liquor stores, several bars, the convenience store, the drug store, and shopping centers, etc., this stuff NEVER happens to me.

How can this be?

I was in church this morning, waiting for the Sunday school kids to come in.  By ones and twos, they came through the door, smilie, smilier and smiliest.  They enjoyed several minutes of a VeggieTales film, danced along as they sang a couple songs, then separated into their rooms for stories and lessons.  It was an hour-long snapshot in time, many words were exchanged, and we all knew each other.

These pictures of life happen every week.

They share themselves with all who care enough to volunteer.

(and the results can be eternal)  :kumbaya:

He has a bumpersticker on his car and naturally people smiling at him is a result of them agreeing with him politically.  :mental:

Needs to be renamed lonestarnutso.

And I would've given anything to have been sitting in that truck with you, sharing my fellatio fantasies with you. I would like to think that I share those fantasies with the deserving few.

And you, lonestarnot, are certainly one of those few.

I have been to Jamaica.

They smile all the time.

They lie to you, they smile.

They try to rip you off, they smile.

No matter what, they smile.

It means nothing.
