Title: It's over.

It's over.

(Caveat: I have been known to make the occasional inaccurate prediction from time to time. Or, put another way, generally speaking, I am about as skilled at making accurate predictions as Bush is at saying "Nuclear.")

But, I mean, come on now.

This? http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/09/24/mccain-asks-to...

Predicting that "It's over" after this is like predicting which direction the sun'll come up from tomorrow. This is like predicting that you'll get wet if you step into the shower. This is Fish + Barrel = Boom.

This is it.

This is lethal.

The media will let him down easy, because of all the good times they've shared over the years. Maybe they'll even try to ease the sting by saying this is the kind of bold move only a real maverick would dare attempt. After the laughter dies down, that'll be pretty much that...

...Thanks for coming out, turn out the lights when you leave, and can someone Fed-Ex that dipshit of a dolt of a dunderhead of a running mate back to the Alaskan snowbank she came from? Thanks, God bless America, and man, this campaign sucked so bad it bent the light...

I predict the last vestiges of credibility will finish hemorrhaging from the McCain campaign within 24 business hours.

But I've been wrong before.

It's over.

The Boston Drunkard says it's over, so we can all rest assured that it's not, or it is but not the way he anticipates it will be.

The only things that might be "over" would be any sort of interpersonal relationship (GF?  BF?) or the bottle of whatever booze he was drinking.

We won't know how it plays out until next week, despite all the punditry.  It will either just not help him, or it will become a kick-ass showing of leadership in crisis.

McCain HAS to make the debate......or this is a very bad idea.

McCain is correct in this tactical maneuver.  Only, he could not have predicted Barrack would be so boneheaded as to actually counter saying the debate should go on.  It makes McCain look like a statesman and Barrack look like a politician.

We may instead find that Barrack blew the camapign with this last tactical error.

100% wrong.

McCain is putting country ahead of politics.  If the messi-uh forges ahead he will just look shallow.

It's over....in 24 bidness hours....huh? Gotta do my algebra.

24 bidness hours is to an unknown length of time  as Bull hockey is to Obama and Dummies.

24/X=BS/(O+D)........Hell, I could very well be dust to dust and ash to ash by then.

Indeed.

I hate the giddies people tend to get when phenomenon X occurs and they think it is the end all, be all of their political wishes...

...BUT...

...what is L'il 'O gonna talk about?

He can't talk about what a bold leader he is in time of crisis he is if he's campaigning while McCain is working.

He can't bash McCain because that is twice as worse for the same reasons only with the stain of spiteful negativity.

What does L'il 'O have to talk about?

He'll probably resort to the old tried and true:

Hope, change, and hoping for change, and changing our hopes and...  :p

Jan. 20, 2013? That's my guess when the "24 business hours" are up for McCain. Hopefully you won't be "dust" yet!

What's the deal with this Pitt guy and who is Nance Greggs?  Why do the dummies fawn all over every word those two say?   :loser:

Do the dummies ever disagree with those two?

Please K&R this post for me, would ya?   :rotf:

Oh now, surely, sir, you know the Bostonian Drunkard and the American Nana primitive.

They both have their adoring acolytes, but fewer and fewer than they used to.

I noticed a peculiar phenomenon when we all were at our old home.

The Bostonian Drunkard was an eye-grabber for everyone in our old home--and here, too--but lurking primitives avoided those threads, reading other stuff instead.

It just wasn't anything that interested the lurking primitives, the Bostonian Drunkard threads.

I dunno about anybody else, but I found that significant.

As for the American Nana primitive, she's merely a cheerleader, chanting slogans to excite the primitives.

The American Nana primitive is on the threshold of her seventh decade of life, but still dreams of her high-school days, 45 or so years ago.

The light from High School would take 50 years to reach that lantern jawed slattern.

Wee Willie Pitt has just guaranteed an Obama win.  I guess that means that we need to start clebrating the McCain victory. :cheersmate:

Alas! the poor Bostonian Drunkard! Alas!

The Bostonian Drunkard used to dream of being an "insider" on things, entertaining fantasies of spending election nights with the big people, the shakers-and-movers, the pundits and pros.

But Alas! the poor Bostonian Drunkard!

But because the Bostonian Drunkard blew it, first by betraying the Kucinich campaign in 2004, and then with Fitzmas in 2006, he's now doomed to watch the election returns on television at home, along with the rest of we hoi polloi.

Alas! the poor Bostonian Drunkard! Alas!

15. You, Sir, Are . . . Correct!

There is no way they would be taking these sorts of ridiculously desperate moves without DISASTROUS internal polling - - which is probably worse than the already-disastrous (for them) public polling at the state-by-state level. I think you're right and it is over.

...is placed the bouncy smiley of death.  :bouncy:  Obama might as well load the concession speech on his teleprompter.

I'm a newbie here and a lurker over at Dummieland and haven't learned all the intricacies and nuances of the dummies over there.

Does my picture make me look like a sir?  I'm not a sir.  But I am blond.

My apologies, madam.

But I've learned through this life that it's easier to address a ma'am as a sir, than to address a sir as a ma'am when I'm not sure.

Women have a better sense of humor about such things.

I dislike nancegreggs more than I dislike Rivers Of Sh*t, if that is possible.  nance likes to pretend she is Molly Ivins (she uses Molly's pic as her avi), and takes extreme offense if you tell her she is no Molly Ivins.   :evillaugh:

Oh Hell.

The American Nana primitive isn't only no Molly Ivins, she's not even Moll Flanders.
