NEW YORK — Clay Aiken is finally confirming what many people already knew: He's gay.
The cover of the latest People magazine shows Aiken holding his infant son, Parker Foster Aiken, with the headline: "Yes, I'm Gay." The cover also has the quote: "I cannot raise a child to lie or hide things."
The magazine has an interview with Aiken and confirmed that he was on the cover but refused to release the article to The Associated Press until Wednesday.
The baby's mother is Aiken's friend and record producer Jaymes Foster.
Aiken, who gained fame as the runner-up on "American Idol" in 2003, rarely addressed the frequent rumors about his sexuality. In an interview with The Associated Press two years ago, he said: "I don't really feel like I have anybody to answer to but myself and God and the people I love."

Alright, I had to search the name to even find out who the guy was.
Am I the only person who never gave a damn about American Idol?

Nope. Only reason I know who he was, is because I was visiting my grandparents during that seasons finale. They where watching it, and I didn't feel it was very prudent to ask them to change the channel.

Nope, I've never watched it, but then I never watch any of the "reality" shows.

Watching that show is kiind of like seeing a bad wreck on the highway. You know you shouldn't look, but ya gotta. :-)

Aiken's narcissistic act involving an innocent child is a disappointment, but otherwise, he has always claimed to be a devout Christian. Aiken's family, friends, former classmates, former students, and various associates have all praised him for his lifelong attempt to walk the path of Goodness. Maybe Aiken considers his homosexuality to be a cross he must bear. Who knows?
-
If he wants to be a devout Christian rather than just claiming to be one, he needs to start off by repenting.

Nope. I did understand what the story was about from the collateral coverage the little guy got on supposedly-news shows over the years, though.

Maybe he has. Maybe he is not a practicing homosexual. Confessing to be a homosexual is not necessarily a confession of sin. I'd say it is between him and his Lord at this point.

Something tells me that's not the case, but time will reveal whether he has turned away from God or not and it'll be evident in his actions.

No, you're not. "Reality TV" is the biggest lie ever. I knew an associate producer on the first three seasons of Survivor, and got all kinds of insight into the editing.
The camera is the best liar ever; it purports to show the truth, but it really it only shows what the editor wants you to see.
-
I'm not an American Idol fan either. Like many, I knew who he was from seeing him on other shows.
If he's ever had a relationship with anyone, he's certainly kept it very quiet and out of the headlines.
I confess to watching Dancing with the Stars and Extreme Home Makeover, this summer I started watching America Has Talent....otherwise, I'm not a reality show watcher, unless cooking shows count.

Easier said than done when you dig guys.
I'm upset. Not Clay Aikens. :(

Man, to show how far out of the "mainstream culture" I am, I thought this Clay Aiken character was a quarterback for one of the SEC college football teams.

Clay Aiken is Gay ,now there's a shocker :whatever:
What gave it away, he admit to doing Tai Chi ? :lmao:
