meanwhile in Houston ( I still have no power)
Advertisements [?]This morning I turned on our battery TV to see a report about a line a mile long of people waiting for food stamps.... as long as they had ****ing papers in order. ****ing government will throw pallets of money in Iraq and their buddies on Wall Street but screw the people they better have their ****ing papers in order. My husband and I are doing great, we can afford to go out to eat and drive around in an air conditioned car.... it just breaks our hearts to see the misery..... it is only going to get worse.
keep hope alive

Hey, Little Goon:
The "paperwork" consists of anything that has a Houston address on it. The lines are "a mile long" because it's FREE STUFF FROM THE GOVERNMENT. Everybody in line has an air conditioned car too (they're in Houston, for gawd's sake - they don't sell cars without air conditioners). Everybody in line can afford to eat out too. Especially now that they don't have to spend their money at the grocery store.
Idiot.

My son who lives in Cleveland had no power for days on end because of the Hurricane (believe it or not). He just got his power back on like two or three days ago.
-
We loose power power here every so often mostly due to forest fires or lightning. The longest we were out for about 5 days, that's why you keep a generator handy.
-
I was without power for 5 days and it was rather humbling. The weather was quite nice also, which made it bearable. No need for the AC! Yes, everything comes with a AC. AC is more common than water. :-)

Hey, why don't you pick a family up and give them a ride in your air conditioned car and take them out for a meal, sou selfish prick?

It's not as long as it looks, and they don't want people getting out of their cars. They found out it's faster to have people line their cars up and load straight into their trunks.
If they want to restore power faster, they should contact Escambia County, Florida and ask them how they restored so fast after Ivan. The county Roads maintenance department had trained heavily before hand.

NO WAIT!!! You mean that the infrastructure that took tens of years to build can't be immediately restored? Why that is some republikkkkkkann trick.
If you have power at your house...thank a conservative.
But seriously, would not one think that the all might and all powerful the Obama be able to bring forth the light and power by his mere presence? No granted I am a skeptic but wouldn't the all whited lighted on be able to give us a preview of how he would heal the world?
