South Carolina Baptist Convention Must Be Panicking
Advertisements [?]Many months ago, when the primaries were just starting, I had a run-in with these lovely Christian people from S.C., who somehow got my email address and started sending me "Obama is a Muslim" emails. Some of the mailstring included government addresses, politicians, etc.

Now, it's starting again - only now, Obama is the Anti-Christ. When I hit "reply to all", I get automated responses from the South Carolina Baptist Convention, some Dept of Justice email addresses, and some of the emails go to dot-gov, us dot gov, and New River Baptist Church.

The thread isn't great, but I'd love to be able to correct some of their ignorance...

7. Um...there are no muslims in the book of Revelations...

its' writing precedes the founding of Islam by almost 500 years. Rapture...never mentioned. Categorize under "shit evangelicals made up." Oh wait...they "interpreted" it...so much for biblical literalism.

I'm thinking that Dr. John Tisdale has one of those self-appointed Ph.Ds of God-ology or Bible Studies. (As opposed to Theology...an actual legitimate academic pursuit.)

Also, I'm not sure where to send them but use of a governmental email address (ending in .gov) for political or election purposes is illegal. Make a list of the offenders and if nothing else...call the Obama campaign and ask who you should forward that list to.

Isaac and Ishmael were well before either Christians or Muslims were around...but the Children of Ishmael are the Muslims.  The battle began way back with Abraham's sons.  If these "super-intelligent, over-educated, know-everythings" knew anything about theology, I would  :banghead:.

In the last state poll, taken 9/17, McCain held a 22-point lead in South Carolina, 59-37. The Obamessiah may not be the Antichrist, the jury is still out on that one, but he is most certainly not going to win in South Carolina.
