Already under fire for his tax troubles, Manhattan Congressman Charles Rangel really put his foot in his mouth on Friday.
In a CBS 2 HD exclusive interview Rep. Rangel called Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin "disabled."
The question was simple. Why are the Democrats so afraid of Palin and her popularity.
The answer was astonishing.
"You got to be kind to the disabled," Rangel said.

Yes, but does she need a translator to fill out her taxes?

"You got to be kind to the disabled," Rangel said.
"Chuck, stand up, let the people see you"
Yessiree Bob. It's all about d-i-v-e-r-s-i-t-y with the Democrats.
:whatever:
-
Wonder if Rangel got his disabled car moved out of taxpayer paid storage yet?
-
Klassy. *eyeroll*
-
With statements like that, Vice President Palin will have something to call Rangel, too.
Wait for it.
"Unemployed."
-
the only reason that he hasn't already lost his chairmanship is because this congress is already done.
-
Wasn't Rangel in some legal trouble of his own if I recall.
-
Aside from his tax evasion, I cant think of any other legal problems Rangel's been involved in.

WASHINGTON - Rep. Charles Rangel wrote six checks for about $10,800 in back taxes, and then penned an open letter to New Yorkers Friday, saying he has done nothing dishonorable and is the target of a GOP "guerrilla war."
Rangel, the dean of the New York congressional delegation, has faced a string of embarrassing revelations — he didn't pay taxes on rental income for a beach house in the Dominican Republic; he used three rent-stabilized apartments in Harlem, including one for a campaign office; he used his congressional stationery to drum up private donations to a college center named after him.
He ended up writing a number of checks to cover taxes due on his 2004, 2005, and 2006 returns, related to the unreported rental income, said his chief of staff, George Dalley.

On the news it was stated that, so far, he's paid $10,000+ in estimated tax on the income he did not declare out of the D.R.. But, then, he's goingto owe for the value of the long term storage, the fair market rental of three of 4 rent controlled/stabelized apts., fair business rental value on one, as it was his office, and who knows what else.
Puls he's got influence peddling prioblems using Congressional letterhead in private business deals.
Hopefully Rangle has wrangled his last currupt deal.
