White House is terrified of Trump videos

White House doesn’t want voters to see the real Trump
Natalie Harp’s enormous bag and unflattering photos of Trump's rear end fuel attacks on a reporter

(Salon) If there’s ever been anything Donald Trump loves more than gold, it’s a camera. The former reality TV host has willingly debased himself in a myriad of ways — doing an ad for Pizza Hut, shaving Vince McMahon’s head during a wrestling match, painful “acting” appearances in “Home Alone 2″ and “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” — all to get a sweet, sweet dose of video proof of his existence.

Right now Trump can’t stop begging for attention, even though it’s immensely damaging to his party’s midterm prospects. He forced the Republicans to throw him a two-day fake convention so he could give lengthy prime-time speeches. He holds frequent on-camera events in the Oval Office, forgoing the work of actual governance so he can be photographed sitting behind the Resolute Desk.

“Sitting” may be the operative word here, because as much as Trump wants to be on camera, it’s increasingly obvious that the White House only wants that to be under controlled conditions, ideally with the president parked behind a desk. If he must stand up, he’s placed behind a generously sized podium, robust enough to handle the full body-weight of his lean. This urgent desire to control Trump’s image became especially apparent during his recent trip to Ireland, when the White House went after journalist Aaron Rupar, who is known for posting a steady stream of candid photos and videos of Trump on social media, often showing the president in a less than flattering light.

....(snip)....

That incident served to remind us that even when Trump’s staff work to stage-manage how he’s being captured in public, the president reliably embarrasses himself with his bizarre fantasies and strange or repellent behavior. As Thomas Edsall wrote in the New York Times on Tuesday, Trump is “unstable” and “trapped in a fictional world.” Edsall notes that two Democratic senators from Rhode Island, Sheldon Whitehouse and Jack Reed, recently submitted to the Congressional Record a statement from 36 prominent experts in mental health, raising concerns about Trump’s fitness for office. ............(more)

2. No Mr. Edsall, he has trapped US in a fictional world.
There are too many examples to prove my point and I have to get back to life.

Ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, Trump participates in and speaks at public events many times a week, many or vastly more than LIEden did. That is a bizarre fear of video.

It sounds like the issue is with Aaron Rupar obsession with using selected (and doctored) photos and video to try to make Trump look bad. What does, "The White House went after journalist Aaron Rupar," mean? Did "the White House" dare to call out Rupar's obsession?

Oh dear Lovie. It's not like us evil repugs are electing socialists.

It's not like we're ignoring hard numbers so we can promote shutting down economically sound sources of power so we have to depend on wind and solar farms.

It's not like us knuckle draggers have entertained  "15 minute cities" that would require a special permit in order to take a family road trip.

It's not like we've ignored the damage caused by allowing people to enter our borders.

We're not the side that believes child-gender should be up to the government.

We're not the party that continues to worship a man who took mucho tax dollars and propped up unions while promising "shovel ready" jobs.

Not a single repug thought it a good idea to send pallets of money to a country that still promises to destroy us.

Our side doesn't support a dollar limit on store theft before it rates as a crime.

There's so much more, but I'm stopping to have a meal while I can still afford one.

We don't believe the UN should ever have a say in our laws.

We would like to know how the Biden family sprouted millionaires like weeds in a garden

We don't feel learing centers are a good investment.
