"But I voted for the OTHER timeline, the sane one, the one

where Kamala is President!"

That line popped into my head when I was remembering a Goldie Hawn line from the movie, "Private Benjamin". As a new recruit, she is facing the reality of basic training, which is not what she was led to believe by the shady recruiter. She protests, "But I joined the OTHER army, the one with the sailboats and condos!" (slightly paraphrased).

What we are seeing is NOT what I signed up for!!!

Huh?

Drunkenly bewailing Kammie's easily foreseeable loss that her sources of "news" told her would not happen?

In the Warhammer 40,000 sci-fi/fantasy gaming universe, Orks, as a species, have the ability to basically will things to happen if enough of them believe in something.  If they believe painting a vehicle red will make it go faster, it does.  Fortunately, this ability to define reality through united groupthink is limited by them not being very smart to begin with.

DUmpflies think they can define reality by believing really hard in things (like 87 genders, white privilege, Hillary becoming president) , despite all the evidence that no matter how hard they believe in things, nothing actually changes.

Reality is the only Ork traits they got are being ugly and dumb.

It's kind of pathetic that DU-grade Progs seem unable to accept the grossly obvious - to normal people - fact that in elections, sometimes you win, and sometimes you lose. In 1992, 1996, 2008, 2012, and 2020, "I" lost. In 1996, I was a bit surprised, given what Bill Clinton was exposed as being, but as in the other years, I went on with my life. I had munchkins to raise, family health issues, helping my son with his successful quest to earn Eagle rank in Scouting, a homeschooling support group to help lead, kids in college, 5 layoffs to work through ... yada, yada, yada ... basically the kind of unheroic ordinary life stuff similar to what you all lived through.

DU-grade Progs seem unable to do that and instead wallow in depression and rage.
