Ron Filipkowski's take on the Platner situation
Maybe the consultants can do a better job vetting the candidates they recruit. Especially ones who came out of nowhere. Otherwise it looks like you either knowingly scammed us for a grift, you're willfully negligent or grossly incompetent. The consultant class sucks. A lot.
I think I agree with his assessment and would place the blame there rather than on the voters of Maine.

You are so full of shit. Vote blue no matter who remember?

The revelations of what Platner was and is were weekly news since or before April. The national Dem Party knew almost everything, including at least one credible rape accusation, before Maine’s primary. Platner was not the only Dem candidate, the former governor of Maine was also running. The Dem Party just wanted to to support the DSA’s candidate.
Somewhat more to the point, Maine voters knew. The credible rape accusation was reported in the NYT several days before Primary day. Whatever the timing of individual voters’ votes, every voter knew at least some of the problems that should have sunk his candidacy.

They have a micro-managerial mindset, with everything.
Once you see it, you can't unsee it.
God help us if they ever take power again.

That's why it's imprtant to vote and win this midterm. History may be on the side of the out-of-power party in midterms, but I think Democrats are vulnerable due to their dysfunction (e.g. Platner), and general unpopularity. The next two (likely) Supreme vacancies are probably on the line.

In the last day or two I’ve seen how “before April” the revelations started coming. Apparently his Nazi totenkopf tattoo was outed in October last year and the Progs who howled that Trump was Nazi-saluting every time he raised his hand during a speech above his shoulder suddenly didn’t care about a real Nazi symbol.

Cliff note version.
They did NAZI that coming?

About that "consultant"...
Apparently, he has had issues of his own. Congresswoman Summer Lee kicked him out of her campaign due to multiple accusations of sexual misconduct.
Also, I found this quote in WSJ amusing:
https://www.wsj.com/politics/elections/the-mad-scientist-behind-graham-platners-scandal-plagued-rise-96f68810
Dan Moraff rushed vetting of the Maine Senate candidate. He says he’s trying to blow up the way Democrats run campaigns.
Well, he may have succeeded, just not in the way he wished.
It's tempting to say "birds of a feather flock together", but that's really insulting to birds in this case.

They act like children. You can tell a child a hundred times not to do something because they could get hurt. If they do what you told them not to do and get hurt, they'll come crying and asking why didn't you warn them. When you tell them they were warned they cry "We didn't know you were serious". The DUmmies are in the crying stage even though they were warned about this guy a hundred times. The difference between most children and the DUmmies is that children are capable of learning, but the DUmmies will jump on the next shiny object that promises free everything no matter how many warning signs pop up around the individual.

Who is Ron Filipkowski and why should I give a flying f*ck what he/she/it thinks? Never heard of them.

He actually does have a W'pedia bio, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ron_Filipkowski .
Ron Filipkowski (born October 30, 1968) is an American criminal defense attorney and former state and federal prosecutor who is known for sharing political clips and commentary on social media. He is the editor-in-chief of MeidasTouch Network, a liberal news website.
...
Filipkowski was a member of the Republican Party until January 2021, when he registered as a Democrat following the January 6 Capitol attack. He describes himself as a moderate Democrat. Filipkowski is critical of Donald Trump and DeSantis. During the 2020 election cycle, Filipkowski recorded a video consisting of reasons he thought the Republican Party should not re-elect Trump as part of an ad campaign by Republican Voters Against Trump, a group launched by Bill Kristol.
In December 2020, Filipkowski criticized DeSantis's handling of the COVID-19 pandemic as "reckless and irresponsible". Following a raid on Rebekah Jones's home, he suggested that she was targeted for questioning DeSantis's approach to the pandemic. After Jones's accusations of being fired for not manipulating COVID-19 data were determined to be unfounded, Filipkowski has since criticized her as a "fraud" and a "grifter".
My emphasis. In hindsight, DeSantis handling of Covid was among the best of states' actions. And Filipkowski got suckered by Rebekah Jones's politically motivated false accusations against DeSantis. Typical RINO-turncoat political credulousness.
