Always laugh when I read crap like that "according to sources who wish to remain anonymous". Which is code to me as: "Some guy or gal told me this at a bar".

Earth shattering!! If 411 is important to you take 15-20 minutes to use another provider.

That's funny. I use Verizon and have since it started way back in the early 90's when It was US West here in Iowa. I would think there would be some mention of any change in services made by any provider.

Astronaut Katy Perry gave me some inside information on our Moon/Mars colonization plan and there was nothing about 411 being used so I believe the janitor.  :popcorn:

I don't have an answer. It looks like other companies have been slowly getting rid of it, since you can get information online.

The last time I did was on a land line in the 20th Century, possibly in the 1980s.
