Peacock Hegseth is so unprofessional and he is panicking.
His manner of speaking, the tough guy rhetoric, constantly quoting from the scriptures, he belongs in a locker room giving a pep talk rather than in the Pentagon press briefing. Now he is accusing the press for negative coverage of a conflict which was unnecessary. Blaming America's allies for not rushing into a conflict they were never consulted on. As Hegseth said this was all Trump's decision, but he and others in the administration didn't have the balls to talk the President off the cliff, a man who's mental acuity is in question. And questioning the loyalty of a free press doesn't change the fact that this conflict was a mistake. Grow up Pete!

Another new DUmmie trying to score points

I watched the presser this morning. I like how Hegseth addressed the media. Essentially, he got out ahead of them and stated the hatchet job they had been doing. And, there's no doubt the MSM coverage has been biased against our side. (you go NYT about on how we lost this war already) I'm so sorry OGBuzz waa offended. It may be he isn't used to listening to someone with balls.

If he seems confident obviously he's panicking. DUH!

Negative coverage? I feel as if they've been all but cheerleading the Iranians.
This reminds me of criticizing Trump for calling the press "the enemy of the people". Well, when the press doesn't act like a free press, but an extension of the political machine, takes it upon themselves to skew public opinion, and gets away with slandering people, what else are they?

Borrowing from Reb Tevye, if justified confidence means Hegseth is panicking, may God smite Hegseth with it, that Hegseth may never recover! :-)

That is pure stupidity. Exactly WHEN should the US have moved on Iran. Should we have waited until they had complete functional nukes? Are you unable to comprehend the urgency of this situation? And what the US did saved "our allies" as they were dependent, totally dependent on the ME oil. They were at Iran's mercy. The noise you hear is them just scrambling to save face. They didn't learn the lessons of Neville Chamberlin, Obama, or Biden. This had to be done. And Trump did it.
Go ahead and explain how you think it should have been done. Negotiate and pay off like Obama? Say "Don't" like Biden and Harris?
DAMNIT! Open your eyes!

"Unprofessional" = Throwing the crap of MSM Dem-shills in their faces, preemptively
As with the Pope, the MSM are not sacred, and when they go full-partisan they earn whatever criticism they get in response. The difference between Trump and many/most R pols is that he fights back. And for this Administration he chose men and women who will and are fighting back.

The Media has been the enemy of the military since the days of Vietnam. They rarely put the armed forces in a positive light and since those clowns talking about Hegseths talking like is have never spent more than a few hours with the armed forces then they have no real idea of the culture from where he came from. I do because I served in the same company and battalion as he did in the 101st Airborne just as different times, I have followed my old unit on Facebook and Instagram and there hasn't been a lot of change is how we interact and work with each other. The important things that changed is tactics and standards. The very things Pete Hegseth has been pushing for since he got the job.

:hi5: DU-folks' ignorance of military people is similar to or worse than the MSM's. Hatred does that.
