Damn, the primitives are stupid.

The Code of Hammurabi was actually humane, not bestial.

Before that time, punishment for a crime was based upon the whim and caprice of the person passing judgement; a person, for example, could be sentenced to death for stealing a piece of wax.

The Code of Hammurabi was devised to correct that injustice; the punishment should not be greater than the crime.

Thus "an eye for an eye," meaning that if someone robbed one person of an eye, he couldn't be punished by losing both of his own eyes; he could be punished only to the extent of the damage done the other person.

Damn, the primitives are stupid, just really stupid.

I can understand Doug's ex-wife being so stupid, but not some of the other primitives.

What a great DU thread.  I give it 4 stars!

I get a kick out of insane DU threads that are weaved with logic.

But..but..but.. these are the high information voters. But I guess 'high information' means they are up to speed on the latest obama talking points, not history or much of anything else.  :rotf:

9. see, what i try to imagine is the perspective of a 93 yo woman...
when someone breaks into her home. rapes her. and murders her.

a woman. an aunt, a friend... a person.

someone's wife. someone's mother. someone's grandmother. someone's great-grandmother.

this is not a case of someone falsely imprisoned for the crime. the **** admitted his guilt.

kill that mother****er and kill him in a slow and painful way. i feel nothing for the shit stains on this earth like him.

and may you someday will join the company of us folks that don't want pieces of shit like this to exist on our planet...
Bravo to YOU sir!

11. So you agree with the US engaging in torture at Guantanomo?
After all, they are "shit stains on earth" just like this guy.

25. It's the exact same thing.
You're arguing for the state to allow a slow, cruel, death of someone who has done horrible things. That's exactly the same as what's going on in illegal US torture chambers.

And would somebody please forcibly sterilize this gink before they have a chance to pass on their stupid genes?

31. Then we should be exterminating the ones who TORTURING...
NOT the (mostly) innocent vicitms they're torturing....

Damn, are you *that* dense? Or *that* racist that you think all those brown people are guilty of something other than being a brown person in a country we illegally invaded?
And send this wanker to the knackers shop as well for good measure.

6. All those who love killing will rejoice.
Kill 'em! Kill them all! Such is the mantra of the coward and hater.

10. "Yay! He raped and killed and old lady! Let's invite him for tea"
The mantra of idiots who have no sympathy for the victims, and no desire to protect future victims from animals like this.

When you take a life on purpose, you forfeit your right to live.

There is an actual amount of good clear thinking intermixed with the window licking a-hole posts in this thread.

I heard a comedian once who had the right idea when it comes to people like the DUmpmonkeys.

You want this piece of human refuse to live? OK... Sure... We'll let him live.... WITH YOU!

Then one day we'll open your door to find him eating soup out of a bowl made from your skull and wiping his mouth with your peace pamphlet. The we'll put a bullet in his head and world will be rid of 2 fricken idiots!
