People are getting angrier and angrier
I just came from filling the gas tank on my vehicle and a guy was saying that we'd better get our tanks filled before the prices skyrocket. Another guy said "That damned fool in the Whotr House ain't gonna make it any better." And a young woman said "**** him!". And yesterday I had to take my daughter to a couple of appointments and we decided to stop at a local convenience store to get a couple of slices of pizza. I was waiting for her to get a pop and there was a guy talking on his phone saying that "He's illegally invading Iran. I don't like trump." He then looked at me and said. "Sorry but that's how I feel." I told him he didn't have to apologize to me because I felt the same way. I'm telling you, people out here in the heartland are getting pissed off. And I think if the repukes try to steal the next elections there will be an uprising like we've never seen in our lives.

Sometimes. Some of the little chains and just folks who put a pizza oven in their gas station do pretty good, though.

Off-topic, some of the big chains seem to be faltering - Pizza the Hut, Round Table, Papa John's, Straw Hat Pizza (regional chain) seem to be shrinking.

I just came from filling the gas tank on my vehicle and a guy was saying that people are claiming that gas would be jumping up. Then he said, "After almost having to finance gas under that Biden fool, I consider this a small price to pay to get rid of such evil individuals who are a danger to the entire planet." Another guy said "Yeah, we finally have someone in the White House who will do what should have been done 47 years ago when they took over our embassy and captured our people." And a young woman said "Go, Trump, Go!"
And yesterday I had to go to a couple of appointments and decided to stop at a local convenience store to get a a drink. While I was waiting for the lady behind the counter, there was a guy talking on his phone saying that "He has NOT illegal invaded anyone. He's actually working to stop someone who has been warring with us and trying to destroy us since about 1976." He then looked at me and said. "Sorry but that's how I feel." I told him he didn't have to apologize to me because I felt the same way. I'm telling you, people out here in the southland are tickled sh!tless. I think if demonrats try their usual election steal that there will be some pissed off voters.

This reminds me of an interaction I had at a QuikTrip the other day. Some dude was gassing up and I pulled in near the door. He was going inside too, and as I walked in I held the door open for him. He looked at me and said, "Thanks." Then we each conducted our business and went about our respective days.
The tide is turning, folks.

Here in Silicon Valley, the gas price for Regular that I noticed yesterday was $4.999/gallon, which it has been for several days in a row. So the price is not "skyrocketing". It is the highest since Trump was inaugurated, but it's still lower than the highest under LIEden. Given the recent direction of oil prices (still under $85/barrel) and FIFO pricing of gasoline and oil products, it's likely to go down soon, if not already (it would go down even further if CA's gooberment stopped attacking refineries and ended their carbon credits scam).

I know 7-11s here in San Jose include pizza as one of the hot foods they sell. Don't know how good or bad it is though.

Nothing against them but I think the last time I was inside a 7-11 was pre-Covid.

Here we have Quik Trip and the food there is actually pretty good. It's not nutritious, but it's as good as fast food and cheaper.

Grew up loving QT as my market was one of the earliest major metro areas to have stores outside of its home in Tulsa and elsewhere in Oklahoma. Now, they're all over country, while the Quik Trip's here are mostly in the inner city. A couple of other chains bought almost all their suburban stores (where I reside and work), and their food/fountain drinks/selection pale in comparison to QT.
