What revealed/claimed was how Israel pieced together habitual behavior - routes, traffic, timing. This may have been a quarter of the whole story. Not at all mentioned is how Israel and the US knew the who, when, and where of the fatal meeting. That's a far more valuable bit of information.
Now that the campaign is underway, remaining leaders won't be following their normal daily patterns, so even if Iran takes their traffic lights offline, not much will be lost to Israel, and the Iranians will have wasted time on a non-critical task.

I don't know how much of this is really what Trump plans and dreams of, https://x.com/CynicalPublius/status/2029404892838945128 , but:
Cynical Publius
@CynicalPublius
I'm getting tired of explaining this, but I'll do it again because there is so much stupidity out there.
Here is the Seven Step Plan:
1. Decapitate Iran's leadership and destroy its military.
2. A new regime comes to power that will no longer fund Hamas/Hezbollah.
3. Without Iranian arms and cash, Palestinians have no choice but to make a lasting peace with Israel.
4. With the Palestinian conflict ended, the Gulf Arab countries will have the political breathing room to fully engage with Israel as a regional partner.
5. Peace in the Middle East, at long last.
6. Trump once again gets rebuffed for the Nobel Peace Prize in favor of a transgender Coptic nun in Madagascar who rescued a species of hermit crabs.
7. Profit
"Steps 1-5" are pretty much realistic. Step 6 would be predictable, though the nun might actually be in Bolivia.

A solid theory I recently read claims blasting drug boats was to flood the airspace around Venezuela with military air traffic so as to cloak when the real strike was in-bound.
Venezuela, on the other hand, was to offset oil disruption anticipated to be brought on by the operation in Iran.
The operation in Iran is to haul China over a barrel - an oil barrel, to be precise - so as to discourage them from any adventures in Taiwan or elsewhere. We basically hold Xi's balls in our oily hand.

Israeli drones reportedly targeted a checkpoint operated by the Basij militia and Iranian security forces early this morning in the Fallah area of Tehran.
Explosions were reported across several districts of the capital as drones struck multiple checkpoints used by regime security units. Iranian media linked to the Revolutionary Guard say several Basij and security personnel were killed in the attacks.
The Basij are the regime’s street-level enforcement force, often deployed to run checkpoints, control movement, and suppress protests across Iranian cities.
Striking these checkpoints sends a clear message:
the regime’s internal security network is now being targeted inside its own capital.
It is the first time since the outbreak of the war that drone strikes have been reported directly over Tehran’s streets — a sign the conflict is reaching deep into the heart of the regime’s control apparatus.

Must have gotten lost in translation...
During an interview with MS NOW on Saturday, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi responded to claims that he told the U.S. that Iran had enough uranium to make multiple nuclear weapons by saying that he did say they had enough material that, if enriched further, could make ten nuclear weapons, but claiming that this was actually just trying to convey how big of a concession Iran was willing to make and not making a threat.
Araghchi said, “I never said that we are going to make the bombs. I said that we have 440 kilos of 60% enriched material, and that was not a secret, that is what is mentioned in the reports of the IAEA. So, I said that, look, this is mentioned in the report. This, if enriched more, can be good enough for ten bombs, as your own experts [claim]. So, we are ready to give them up and to give them away, we are ready to dilute them, to downblend them into lower degrees.”
He continued, “And by saying that, I wanted to say that the concession that we are going — that we are making is really big. But how they have interpreted that, I don’t know, maybe because the lack of enough knowledge, maybe because of their intentions to justify, as I said, the act of aggression, which cannot be justified.”

Rep. Ro Khanna (D-CA) admits Iran had enough uranium to make nuclear bombs because of Joe Biden but that was fine because Iran’s missiles couldn’t yet reach the US.
That’s what Democrats thought was acceptable.

Was Tuckunder Carlson a dupe for getting the mullahs to expose themselves to a decapitation strike?
Now, I do think he's a dirty spy. But some spying isn't illegal. Yes, a spy who passes classified information can be prosecuted. But a spy who owns a house in the flight path of a US military base cannot, I don't think, be prosecuted for noting what types of planes are taking off and when, and then sending off that information to his case officer. That's open information, which anyone with eyes can see, and I think that a spy doing that would be non-prosecutable. (Though, if a foreigner permitted to be in the US, his visa would be revoked and he would be declared persona non grata.)
I think Tucker Carlson is a spy in this second sense -- he is acting as the eyes and ears of a hostile foreign power, he is reporting to that hostile foreign power what the president of the United States said to him, but that information was not classified and therefore there is no actual crime in reporting it to Iranian intelligence officials. (Especially because Trump intended it to be reported.)
But it does make him treasonous. Not a traitor by the legal definition, but treasonous in the dictionary sense, acting on behalf of an enemy foreign power against the interests of the US.
And now this fat piece of shit is butthurt because he was a key asset in convincing the Iranians that it was safe to hold a meeting with 90% of the top military and mullah leadership present in the same room a couple of weeks ago.
Tucker Carlson: Hero of Israel! I hope Mossad makes it official and decorates him with an award for his crucial work in this operation!

One conversation is worth recounting.

"OK," the commander said in the recording.
"I called to warn you in advance that you should stand with your people's side," the Mossad agent said. "And if you will not do that, your destiny will be as your leader. Do you hear me?"
"Brother, I swear on the Quran, I'm not your enemy," the commander said. "I'm a dead man already. Just please come help us."

American Debunk @AmericanDebunk
This post by Trump is pre-framing what's to come. Read along and you'll start to see it too.
When Trump tells the UK to "go to the Strait and just TAKE IT," the surface read is that he's venting at allies who didn't show up.
But the deeper move is priming the the public (and world) with a new mental frame: the Strait of Hormuz is not Iranian sovereign territory anymore.
It's available real estate. It's takeable. Anyone with courage can have it.
That's a massive Overton Window shift delivered, in a tweet, as an insult to the UK.
A year ago "America controls the Strait of Hormuz" sounded like some twisted fantasy. Today Trump is telling Britain to go grab it themselves like it's a parking spot.
In a few weeks, Trump has normalized the concept of Western control over the Strait so thoroughly that full US seizure now looks like the modest option compared to what he's suggesting allies do on their own. This is intentional.
The persuasion mechanics here are priming plus pre-selling. Whatever the eventual deal includes (US Navy permanent presence, joint patrols, Iranian withdrawal from mining infrastructure) the public will accept it because Trump already told them the Strait is there for the taking. Your subconscious mind has already been primed to accept it.
This "psychological baseline" is going to influence Trump-Iran negotiations. Best believe it.
"The hard part is done" works the same way. He's managing public fatigue.
It translates to "we won, relax, this is cleanup".
This keeps approval from eroding while the Pakistan talks drag through April.
Trump isn't describing reality. He's installing it.
Say the Strait is takeable enough times and it becomes takeable in the public mind.
It's been 10 years of Trump and he still leaves me in awe with his persuasion.

Western civilization may never win another war if this keeps up
This is maddening. The radical left, mainstream media, and the woke right are running the exact same playbook with the US/Israel campaign against Iran as they did with Israel in Gaza
They create impossible standards in terms of:
-Zero Casualties
-Zero Economic Disruption
-Zero Uncertainty
-Zero Time to Accomplish the Mission
-Zero Collateral Damage
And everything the bad guys do is actually our fault because we made them do it....same script as Gaza...the bad guys have no agency and it's actually our fault
Day 32 of the Iran war:
-degraded missile factories, nuclear sites, IRGC bases, and proxy networks
-the Supreme Leader is gone...and his replacement is s vegetable
-all the top leadership is gone...in fact, we don't even know who's in charge
Yet the all you hear is endless doomerism
And all of this sounds exactly like the demoralization propaganda from Russia, China, and Iran, that has infiltrated our society for years via social media and retarded influencers chasing click
This isn't responsible skepticism
It's weakness...
And you'll never get peace through strength when the opponent knows you lack resolve and they can just wait you out
This is madness

I overheard part of a news report about the downed F-15. I only caught a little bit, but dang, it sounded a bit like the reporter was cheerleading the Iranians. Maybe I'm wrong, but he said something like "Iran is showing it can shoot a high-tech F-15, and hopes this is a turning point in the war" (paraphrase).
I really, really hope they find the second crewmember alive, but militarily, I don't think shooting down an F-15E wins the war for Iran. It is a PR victory for the Iranians. The Iraqis shot down something in the neighborhood of 40 coalition aircraft in Desert Storm, and they still lost decisively.
-
From my Breaking News post, this is a significant loss, obviously.
In the context of the past 5 weeks, the US has been flying B-52s, B-1s, F-15Es, and F/A-18E/Fs in Iranian airspace for 4 weeks or more, and A-10Cs for 2 or 4 weeks (reports vary). B-52s and B-1s have the RCS and IR visibility of an adult bull African elephant. F-15Es and F/A-18E/Fs have the RCS and IR visibility of a black rhino. And A-10Cs are Warthogs. In context, what is remarkable and indicative of how things stand is that this is Iran's first shootdown.

It's been a minute, but I remembered this. This would have been a good response to Tuckunder...
Matthew 12:1 At that time Jesus went on the sabbath day through the corn; and his disciples were an hungred, and began to pluck the ears of corn and to eat.
2 But when the Pharisees saw it, they said unto him, Behold, thy disciples do that which is not lawful to do upon the sabbath day.
...
9 And when he was departed thence, he went into their synagogue:
10 And, behold, there was a man which had his hand withered. And they asked him, saying, Is it lawful to heal on the sabbath days? that they might accuse him.
11 And he said unto them, What man shall there be among you, that shall have one sheep, and if it fall into a pit on the sabbath day, will he not lay hold on it, and lift it out?
12 How much then is a man better than a sheep? Wherefore it is lawful to do well on the sabbath days.
