For the little it's worth, I didn't watch or listen to it ... I haven't seen/heard a SOTU since the RWR or GHWB years.

Hey, I have something in common with the DUmmies as I didn't watch either. No matter the party, I find the SOTU's to be rather boring. Better to catch up with clips and highlights/lowlights in the post-game coverage, which I did.

Me too. Don't think anything particularly important has come out of a SOTU speech since Kennedy told Congress to get a man on the moon in ten years. Lots of theater from both sides since then, but nothing that can't be picked up from reputable commentators the next day.

I didn't watch it. I was pretty sure nothing would happen to change my votes. I got some snippets afterwards on how the esteemed democrats behaved.
That crazy bitch from Minnesota needs to keep it up. She got here with little worth (just a loving husband/brother) and a year or 2 later, she's a millionaire. No, hell no. How dare we suspect fraud?! Why it must be racism.

Well, some Democratic Party politicians attended, but optically, they probably should have skipped. They sat there, and sulked. They just looked like the anti-American losers that they are. They're now trying to play off not standing to affirm that they think they should serve Americans first as "Well, that type of thing happens at every SOTU speech".
Really. What did they stand to lose by standing at that moment? They'd have lost the lunatic fringe of their voters, but those voters aren't the majority, and they're never going to be placated anyway. They're scum. They make everything they touch dirty.

As I've said before, Omar is the most ungrateful immigrant to the United States ever. I'd prefer she never came here, and still be crawling over the Somali deserts with scorpions and other deadly animals feasting on her hourly.

I didn’t watch it either. I watched a movie instead. Then yesterday morning I read an article talking about how the DemonRat overlords acted. I figured that the article had to be lying or at least exaggerating, so I watched the SOTU on YouTube yesterday afternoon.
Last year, when the DemonRats refused to stand for the kid who’s fighting brain cancer, I got angry at their heartlessness, but then I got to thinking that there’s no way that they could really be that heartless and evil. I began to think that maybe they didn’t stand because they are ageists or racists or some other excuse. After watching the recent SOTU, I’ve seen that I was correct in my first observation: the DemonRat overlords are heartless and evil bastards/bitches with absolutely no compassion within them. I’m really amazed that they can find minions stupid enough to follow and worship them.

I didn't watch the speech because I was at work being a productive member of society unlike most of DU. I got the highlights afterwards and I expected some stupid crap to come from the Dems but not quite on the level of what they did. It just proves that they do not deserve to be in office.
