A DUer is about to become homeless

Without help, John will become homeless. He has no car to live in. Nobody else to turn to.

Here is John's long post from the lounge yesterday that explains everything: https://www.democraticunderground.com/10182278898

His gofundme link: https://www.gofundme.com/f/help-john-mckusick-overcome-health-and-financial-struggles

I do believe John has been honest and upfront with the DU when he asks for help. There is a light at the end of the tunnel. Can we get John to when his benefits should start? It is a lofty goal.

The current Trump administration has made it clear that former resources have dried up by design. Look at the food pantries. Look at utility help programs. Trump gets a kick out of kicking a person down on his or her luck. It's his nature.

It looks like John has only raised $25 since his post went up yesterday. I hope we can do much better than this. Even a small donation adds up.

Please keep this kicked and give it an R, so everyone sees this.

In solidarity,

OS

1. Another DU-member on government bennies, sigh.

2. Food pantries are non-government charities. The Feds have not hindered food pantries.

3. Except for the Life Line phone program, utility assistance programs are state-mandated and -regulated. The Feds have not hindered states' utility assistance programs, and the Life Line phone program is still operating.

Maybe "John" is actually disabled, but if not,

I will give him $20 for the cat which will also have the benefit of saving him money on food and vet bills. I will also pay $10 for your mail in ballot.

Your welcome.

If additional savings are required I suggest stop donating to Dummie underground, give up your cell phone and internet.
