During World War II, my mother saw children being handed out of train windows to strangers
because they didn’t know where they were being sent and what kind of hell awaited them. When she was sent to Germany from her native country of Latvia, she met my father in a displaced person’s camp where I was born in 1946. Because she had seen these dreadful things, they stayed in her mind and her heart. She told me that she was fearful of nurturing me, holding me too long, showing me too much love, because she feared that the closeness would only hurt me if she ever had to hand me off to strangers from a train window.
So it appears that the monsters that ruled in those days have not died away as we feared, but only moved to a different continent to look for more fertile soil.

I didn't realize that the idiot travernier was still around spreading stupid. I also didn't realize that he was that old.
Anyway, my grandmother and mother immigrated here from Britain around '46. Of course, they did so legally. My grandmother, since she was in England, didn't have to deal with Nazis face to face, she did know what they were and were capable of. Because of that experience, she'd know without a doubt that Trump and crew is nothing like the Nazis. Of course, travenier and crew, who are perpetually dishonest, also knows that Trump and crew is nothing like Nazis because if they really thought they were like Nazis they'd stay silent or be silenced.

Please use GoogMaps and point out where Trump's concentration camps are. Hint, illegals' home-country deportation destinations are not concentration camps. And even the most arrogant CPS social worker is not Gestapo/SS.

I am so tired of the Left calling people Nazi's without having the remotest idea of what it is like or was like to have fought them in the first place. My father spent three years as a POW in Germany during the second world war. It wasn't like the concentration camps, but it was no day at the beach. My father saw one of the other prisoners get shot just for the crime of giving a Russian prisoner some bread to eat, I haven't heard of anything remotely like when the troops and tanks would roll into a town and they would start shooting and laying waste to everything and everyone in Minnesota or any place else yet. They are creating this mess, and it is only going to get worse.

25 years ago, my wife and I visited Germany. One Sunday, rather than attending a church service we would not understand, we toured Dachau. It was eerie, because it is surrounded by a tree-lined green belt that is beautiful. The mental contrast between that beauty and the evil done there was horrifying. The former camp area is now empty, except for a couple of restoration barracks (tracing the camp's stages from WW1 factory worker camp through post WW2 refugee camp). The original administration building is a museum with exhibits about the concentration camp system, torture, etc.. Painting with a broad brush, there were lots of work camps all over Germany (where many died), Dachau, which was for political opponents (there may have been similar political-prisoner camps; again many died there), and extermination camps like Auschwitz.
There is nothing in the US even slightly like any sort of Nazi concentration camp - not even FDR's internment camps. Any DU-member who has visited Dachau or Auschwitz or some other concentration camp knows this. Any DU-member who has visited an actual Nazi concentration camp and still claims Trump is doing the same is knowingly and grossly lying.
