Clinton Cancels Rally Appearance After Learning Palin Invited
(http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b293/aggie8387/hillcancel.jpg)
WASHINGTON — Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton has canceled an appearance at a New York rally next week after organizers blindsided her by inviting Republican vice presidential candidate and Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, aides to the senator said Tuesday.
Several American Jewish groups plan a major rally outside the United Nations on Sept. 22 to protest against Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.
Organizers said Tuesday that both Clinton, who nearly won the Democratic nomination for president, and Palin, Republican candidate John McCain’s running mate, are expected to attend.
*snip*
Clinton aides were furious. They first learned of the plan to have both Clinton and Palin appear when informed by reporters.
“Her attendance was news to us, and this was never billed to us as a partisan political event,†said Clinton spokesman Philippe Reines. “Sen. Clinton will therefore not be attending.â€
They invited a representative from both sides...bipartisan anyone? More Clinton sour grapes. She's just gonna take her marbles and go home to pout. :whatever:

The main basis for choosing Biden was he has been a very good friend of Israel. (Note Regarding Gator, even a broken clock is right twice a day)
This is a neat bit of sabotage by Hillary. It gives Palin a huge up with a section of the population that really doesn't like her much. (The whole hunting thing is offensive to Jewish sensibilities. )
The way the Clintons work, I wouldn't be surprised if it weren't Clinton stooges that insisted that Sarah speak, just so Hillary could walk out.
I would also guess that Biden was asked to attend. But no one cares anymore what he does. But it will be an interesting opportunity for people to see the two of them together, and compare.

The very last thing that Hillary wants is to be photographed with Sarah Palin, or compared to Sarah Palin in any way, shape or form.

I view this as her seizing an opportunity to stick a shiv in Obama's back. She has "Plausible deniability" that the public will buy for running out on this engagement, but in reality she is walking away from a key voting bloc in an area that is no longer safely Blue and giving Palin an exclusive shot at them.

So I walked into the Oval Office, and Monica was on her knees, grabbing onto Bill's ass like so, with this expression on her face...

What ever happened to all that "inclusive not divisive" bullshit the dimocrats are always spewing? This act seems pretty divisive to me.

Dems depend on their moonbat base. That base knows 9/11 was perpetrated by "the Joooos".
The moonbats know the Bushco administration is owned and operated by the "neocons", which is moonbat-speak for "the Joooos".
The moonbats and, by extension, all dems, support Palestinian muzzies against Israel.
The moonbat squashed by the Israeli dozer was a mainline dem.
It's mystery to me how any Jewish American can support a democrat, when anti-Semitism is fundamental to the party.
I think it must go back to the '20s and '30s, when Jews were in the forefront of the labor/communist movement, along with democrats. By that logic, blacks should all be Republican, since Lincoln signed the emancipation.
And some people think Jews are smart.

I'm not sure what to make of this.....but I think it's a bonus for us.
Sarah's answer to Gibson's question regarding Israel's right to defend itself was very Pro-Israel. I think she will use that for this appearance.

Do you really thing Hillary wants to listen to thousands of enthusiastic people chanting "Sarah Sarah Sarah?" She would sleep with her husband before she would do that. :-)

That might be pushing it a bit. :-)

You do know that the Emancipation Proclamation sought to free slaves in states that the US govt did not control and left it in tact in those they did, right?
Just curious.....

You mean he left it in tact for those who accepted and abided by the Constitution (cause it would take a Constitutional Amendment to change the Constitution)? Those states?
.....and before you reply, let me just state -- oh.no.not.this.shit.again.

Hey, if you're gonna pull it, you should know how to use it.

in an attempt to prevent a thread hijack (probably too little too late) the EP, as stated by GOBUCKS, did only free the slaves in those states that seceded from the Union. That was a matter of practicality by Lincoln, in that he couldn't free them everywhere because he would probably lose Kentucky, among others. Lincoln is quoted as saying "I hope God is on our side, but I need Kentucky."
After the conclusion of the War, the REPUBLICAN party in Congress pushed through the 13th Amendment, formally making slavery anywhere in the country illegal. The EP did free the slaves Lincoln needed to free, but the 13th Amendment made their freedom permanent. (at least til the Democrats figured out how to buy their votes)

That's better.
