Oh my.
The primitives aren't contemplating leaving the United States after January 20, 2009 now?
Damn.

Best places to live for a Democrat?
For those of us here on DU are in the process of relocating or looking to move. What are the best places to live for us Democrats? (especially those who live in the red)
It's a large bonfire; Doug's ex-wife is there in her usual pharmaceutical haze.

48. Hey! I've been there! I can remember when the trolley ran through there.
of course KCMO is a dem stronghold, HST, etc. Any state that could elect a dead man over John Ashcroft has to be dem through and through.

8. Mendocino, California.
It doesn't get much better. Berkeley, San Francisco, Boston.
But Mendocino is like another planet, after having lived in a boneheaded town in Oregon for the last two years. I had to watch my mouth whenever I opened it.
On the other hand, going to the grocers here is like being on a Woody Allen set. Everyone is a unique progressive figure. It's pretty amazing.
But you might need to be retired and wealthy to live here. That's the downside.

Perhaps we won`t have to round them up after all.
When McCain wins in November we just simply wait for them to all bunch together and then put the fence up.
They are making it easy. :hyper:
Honestly what a bunch of idiots, you want to live where dems have held sway for decades come to the northeast and as more then one has said you better be wealthy.
Living in a "progressive" area isn`t cheap.

I don't care where exactly they move to, as long as they all move to one state and can cause no further harm due to being outvoted in congress and EC... i'd even be willing to make california a liberals only zone and concede the 55 EV and massive house delegation if they would leave everywhere else alone
-
I thought they all planned to move to Alaska and then secede from the US, that would be best for all concerned.

NO! Uh, we're all rednecks down here. We all fly the Southern Cross. We all cut the arms from our t shirts. I'll say anything to keep any more from infecting The South.

Hardly. KC and STL are Dem strongholds (with some fake voter issues and other machine corruption as you might expect in a Dem stronghold). Aside from the university town of Columbia right between the two on I-70, the entire rest of MO is GOP or Blue Dog territory. That wacky shit doesn't sell in the Ozarks.
The election of Mrs. Carnahan was purely a sympathy vote, Ashcroft was headed to victory when ol' Mel proved to be just as sound a judge of air transport safety as he was for State administration.

Nope, not about to happen. Just remember the libtards are only in a fairly small area of this State.

I don't think any of them gave the right answer. If you want to live in the bluest of blue areas, you need to move to South Central Los Angeles, the lovely Hough neighborhood of Cleveland, downtown District of Columbia, Harlem, Little Haiti, or the south side of Chicago. Most of these neighborhoods would have apartments DUmmies could afford, and if DUmmies moved in they would certainly add to the wonderful diversity of these progressive neighborhoods. The DUmmies would rarely have the irritation of running into a redneck, and would not have to look at any "W - Still the President" stickers. They would be able to find plenty of gay bars, and lots of drugs, but it might be a long bus ride to Costco.
This Mendocino, Ann Arbor, Austin, Marin County business is pie in the sky. Too expensive. Not every DUmmy can be as lucky as TiTtyboy, to find a sleeping room in back of a trinket shop.
-
Surely they could afford some of those $1 houses in Detroit. Isn't that a well integrated liberal ran sanctuary?

Agreed, and KC is considerably less a liberal stronghold than STL.....the city elected a very centrist Dem as mayor last election, and the 'burbs are about as red as they can get........
