People Don't Understand What Losing Obamacare Will Do To All Healthcare Plans
Democrats weren't just fighting for Obamacare subsidies;
24 million people have Obamacare, 22 million get subsidies. 57% of the people who get subsidies live in red districts.
Costs are going to double and triple for those people.
Older adults and seniors risk losing coverage since the subsidies enabled a 50% reduction in uninsured people ages 50 - 64.
Obamacare provided insurance to older, sicker, people with pre-existing conditions to get health insurance, so now these older, sicker, people with pre-existing conditions are going to show up at emergency rooms all across the country.
The CBO estimates that 4 million more people will become uninsured.
Increased uninsured rates will lead to higher Medicare costs and strains on hospitals and state and local governments, people not on Obamacare could see their costs rise also.
A report from Mercer said that 59% of employers who provide insurance are going to make cost-cutting changes to their insurance.
Not renewing the Obamacare subsidies will have a ripple effect that will affect all of us.
That's what Democrats were fighting for, don't want to hear about how 9 rogue Democrats made the right choice.

I was promised a $2500'year savings. I got a 140% increase in premiums and deductibles and no real competition between providers. But you want me to suck it up for 4 million other people at the expense of my family.
No.

4. That's why insurance companies donate to politicians' campaigns.
If politicians are so susceptible to bribery, why do you want them running your heath care?

5. But they've promised a vote!
Maybe we should "deem and pass" the end of ObamaCare.

And erosion of the tax base. The ACA is also a job creation program. A lot of healthcare workers are going to get let go and medical facilities closed. This will happen well before folks get sick and start setting up gofundme accounts for medical care.
"The ACA is also a job creation program." which is part of the reason why it drives up prices while degrading care: it is adding additional bureaucratic burdens.

How did jonathan gruber put it?
"The stupidity of the American voter" (meaning the democrats that voted and suported it).
Among whos numbers, those who are complaining now can be counted.

This is what happens when government steps in,it ****s everything up.
The healthcare system is a mess from a badly written (unconstitutional) bill/law and now it is entrenched which was the plan all along.
It has created a dependency where many people had no choice because it was all that was offered.
Thank God Trump is President because he is the one person that can take on the healthcare, insurance industry that sucked up the money and came looking for more and more.

gab13by13 dishonestly ignores the fact that people had health insurance before OhBummer!Don'tCare got imposed. OhBummer!Don'tCare didn't invent medical care when OhBummer! signed it into law in 2010.
Some people had health insurance through their employers, some got plans individually or through various other groups. OhBummer!Don'tCare eliminated, by force of law, the health plans many had chosen that were tailored to their specific needs, and forced insurance plans that are one-size-fits-all.
For individuals, this forced them to pay more than they had for covering medical issues they don't need covering. An easy example of this is that males and women over ~40 cannot get a health plan that does not cover abortion and childbirth. OhBummer!Don'tCare eliminated low-cost health insurance and in doing so cost - rather than saved - many people money. And while there are lower premium OhBummer!Don'tCare plans, they lower premiums by having much higher costs for care.
For people who had group or employer plans, those also increased in premium costs because of the additional medical issues those plans had to cover. My estimate is that with my previous employer, whose plan had to be brought into OhBummer!Don'tCare compliance, my "employee contribution" increased around $1200 per year. But at least my then pentagenarian wife and I had - Wowie-Zowie! - childbirth, neo-natal, and abortion coverage.
ETA: As to what repealing OhBummer!Don'tCare would do to healthcare plans, if it were a clean repeal, as a whole, less expensive and better plans would become available. The health plan I have through my current employer might become less expensive to me, depending on how plans chosen change.

24 million people have Obamacare, 22 million get subsidies.
If obamacare (aka the AFFORDABLE care act) is affordable, why do over 91% of people who have obamacare need government subsidies to help pay for it?

Yes DUmp'Rat; we DO understand that if the subsidies are removed from ObummerCare and you mouthbreathers aren't in charge of Congress to capitalize on the opportunity to convert it to full single-payer when ObummerCare inevitably fails completely, you'll lose your chance to take over 1/6th of the US Economy for at least a generation.
That's a FEATURE, not a bug... :yahoo: :bigbird: :foff: :muahaha:

ObammyCare lowered my premium from $375/mo to $1480/month.
My deductibles all went up 250%+.
But I got pregnancy and gynecological care covered.
Oh and I DID NOT GET TO KEEP MY DOCTOR OF 20 YEARS.
