Just tried to sign up for a No Kings event
And saw this: “ This event is at max capacity.”
It’s going to be big!
(I’ll find another event.)

31. Signing up helps them validate the numbers in attendance.
The official numbers are newsworthy.
Last time there were those who tried to inflate the numbers. But the organizers did not, and reported numbers I believe were reliable.

They're over there sharing ideas for signs. As usual, they are lame, cringe, and much too long.
A. Even Elderly Nazis were brought to Justice;
Sleep lightly ICE!
B. We LOVE AMERICA: We just DON'T LOVE TRUMP and he can't handle it!
C. If Republicans honored their oath, we wouldn't be here today.
D. Protesting means NOTHING if you DON'T VOTE!
-
Oh cool, the next "day that everything changes and communism is brought in".

No. Signing up helps them CLAIM higher numbers.
Events which have low turnout will be claimed to be full, because lefties have to alinsky everything. Rule #1:
"Power is not only what you have but what the enemy thinks you have."
The entire point of having a signup in the first place, is to be able to make exagerated claims.
I see you, lefty.

 I'll keep an eye out for signs of significant events here in the Bay Area this coming Saturday - unusual degrees of freeway traffic congestion on GoogMaps, actual gatherings where I go (probably doing 3 1/4 miles on a nearby trail), news reports, etc..

It feels like an astroturf.
Have you voter registration trends lately? Or perhaps polling? Those feel more like a groundswell.

Given the DUmmies' collective history, I'd imagine they are signing up thousands with the names Heywood J. Blowme, I.P. Freely, and Hugh Jazz just to inflate the numbers. A protest that no one will care about, but will be talked about incessantly by legacy media while normal society collectively yawns.

C. If Republicans honored their oath, we wouldn't be here today.
If Democrats honored their oath, and just governed well in general, there wouldn't be a need for a President Trump.
-
I know my moonbat central city of Santa Barbara will have one. It will be well attended by cat ladies and soi boys. No one else will give a shit.
-
If Democrats honored their oath, and just governed well in general, there wouldn't be a need for a President Trump.
Additionally as has been said by many solid conservatives this week, the fact that there is a "No Kings" rally proves that there is no king in the United States. A king would not allow such freedoms as rallies in protest.
-
Me and a rather large group I’m part of have been signing up for the rallies to hold spots that we’re not going to show up for, of course.
We stole the idea from the DUmmies who were signing up for Trump rallies.
There won’t be anyone there to count.

So all the lefties are going out to protest with their little signs and ran at the sky, and in the end, the result will be Monday morning. Trump will still be president. Harris will not and nothing will change.
Personally, I have better things to do with my time the only events all attend will be for hot rods, guns hot women, and free barbecue :-) :lmao:

Haven't wandered over to the sewage at the DUmp this week, but have any of the DUmmies expressed the concern that by attending one of these circle-fests they will all be tracked via facial recognition in order to round them up into VRWC re-education camps? Recall that multiple tin-foil DUmmies have been worried about such things dating back to the protests during President George W. Bush's term.

06:45 - All freeways are "green", i.e. free-flowing, except for a road closure on SR4 between Hercules and Martinez.
08:30 - All freeways are "green", except for some congestion in the immediate approaches to the toll plaza for the Bay Bridge (normal on a Saturday) and a little, brief, slowing at the I-680 - US 101 interchange in southeast San Jose.
My point in these ongoing posts is not that there are zero protests but whether they are large enough to affect traffic.
09:35 - All freeways are "green", except for some congestion in the immediate approaches to the toll plaza and entrance into SF for the Bay Bridge (normal on a Saturday) and miscellaneous brief slowdowns here and there in normal-pattern places.
Looking at my 2025 running events calendar, I see there are two significant events this morning, one in the east bay and one in the south bay, and a third Sunday at a two-day pumpkin festival in HalMoon Bay. The latter probably explains the slowdowns on SR1 just north and south of that city. Later I'll have a gander at the results for the two events running today.
12:10 - Traffic looks normal for a busy Saturday, which means it could be a less busy day to which Hate-Trump traffic might be added.
I just got back from doing ~3 1/4 miles, park-to-park, out-and-back, on the Los Gatos Creek Trail. It's usually fairly busy on a Saturday, and the park where I turn around is close to the Campbell civic plaza (library, city hall, main police station), a perfect place for one of the Hate-Trump events. That park was also the start/finish for one of the running events I mentioned above, though almost everyone had finished by the time I got there. So, what did I see/hear?
I saw and heard (Proggies love megaphones) nothing suggesting there was a Hate-Trump event. The only Hate-Trump paraphernalia I saw was one woman with a "Women's March" T-shirt, about 2 miles from the civic center. Probably just a lone vague suggestion of solidarity with Hate-Trumpers. Traffic on the trail was normal volume - runners, walkers, people walking dogs. So the volume of traffic on the trail was unaffected by the number of people attending Hate-Trump events.
What about the number of participants in the Campbell Oktoberfest 5K and 10K? There were 612 finishers between the two distances, plus event people, observing/cheering family and friends, and people working various booths for various schools, fitness gyms, and nutritional products. Slightly fewer finished the 2024 running of the event. The other event has a 30K distance, so there may be runners still on the course, and Internet connection may not be good at the start/finish area. Results from that event have not yet been posted online.

don't forget the re-education camps were owned and managed by Haliburton...

Don't they sometimes post pictures of themselves on their own forum, while proclaiming their categorical opposition to Trump (not to mention wishing that bad things would happen to him and Republicans in general)? If they really fancy themselves some sort of resistance, that's about the dumbest thing they could do.

Oh yes, yes they do. Our dear friend Tess Anderson amongst other folks here have been able to identify DUmmies. Not to mention their frequent picture threads, which I don't recall seeing posted in quite a while.

Hot off the presses: Was informed by the VRWC that at least 75,000 communists have been positively tracked today thus far. :whistling:

Just to give an idea of the size of the 2-day Half Moon Bay Pumpkin Festival, today's running event, which had half marathon, 10K, and 5K distances, had 1243 finishers. IOW, there were several thousand people who were at the festival today and yesterday, instead of at a No Kings Tantrum & Costume Contest.
As I posted yesterday, even taking MSM partisan guesstimates at face value, 98-99% of US citizens did other things yesterday rather than joining the No Kings Tantrum & Costume Contest.

I can't tell you how many showed up in Omaha but it looked like they had a decent crowd. I have yet to hear anything on the local news channel I follow, WOWT Ch6. I should have turned on the local talk radio this morning KFAB to hear what they thought of it.
