McCain campaign claims to have invented corn.

Nebraska- Hoping to shore up numbers in the corn belt, and continuing the theme claiming to have been responsible for the invention of several food products, the McCain campaign today took credit for the invention of corn. "We did it by hybridizing several species of wild corn," McCain said, "that really didn't resemble modern corn much at all. Then we'd offer some of the corn to Chac to ensure bountiful harvests next year."

"We called it 'maize,'" the senator added.

5. He was just reminiscing.

Hmmm.  I thought John McCain was in New Hampshire this week.

No need for John McCain or his running mate to come here to Nebraska; the only question remaining here is, is the Big Zero going to fall below the vote totals garnered by the Incompetent One in 1976 and 1980?

The DUmmies are still upset about Algore's stupid internet claim. Along with his silly sighs during the debate, and his "alpha male"/"earthtones" advice, he revealed himself as an absurd, pompous character. Kind of like a sober William Rivers Pitt.

At the time, we thought it was a cariacature, but he has since proven it to be a true picture. Thank God for Elian Gonzalez!

One of McCain's campaign aids yesterday told reporters that McCain helped invent the Blackberry.  He was supposedly joking but what a lame joke.  Anyway, I believe that is what they are talking about.  http://news.cnet.com/8301-13578_3-10043126-38.html

John McCain doesn't use e-mail. So it was downright odd to see one of his aides hold up a BlackBerry on Tuesday and claim that the Arizona senator somehow deserves credit for its existence.

"He did this," economic policy adviser Douglas Holtz-Eakin told reporters, referring to a BlackBerry, according to a report on Politico.com. "Telecommunications of the United States is a premier innovation in the past 15 years, comes right through the Commerce Committee. So you're looking at the miracle John McCain helped create and that's what he did."
