Tariffs on products at Costco.
Mr Ninga and I shopped at Cosco today. I I was kveching about the price of honey and found the country of origin to be Brazil for a particular selection.
Mr Ninga promptly looked for tariffs and Brazil.
Yep. 14%
So I rooted around and found honey produced in Michigan. Problem solved. Mr Ninga took a pack of post it notes from my purse and wrote “beware tariff product means you pay tariff tax”
He slapped it on the box of Brazil produced honey and then proceeded to do the same thing to other tariff taxed products until he ran out of post its. I went and sat down and had a hot dog while I waited.
Busy bee that Mr Ninga. Love him to bits.
Imagine spending hours researching every product at Costco so you can put a post-it note on it and brag at DU.
Imagine actually believing this story

Then an evil conservative went around behind him and proudly labeled all the Made in America products.

I was in Costco the other day and put Post-Its on all of the laptops.
"This laptop is real. Just like Hunter's."

So, Mr. and Ms. Ninga did what tariffs are intended to do, "persuade" Americans to buy American-produced products. :rotf:

Just for the heck of it, I just hopped on the costco website to look at honey prices. They had honey from Brazil for $3.33 per pound and honey from Argentina for $3.00 a pound. Both are very cheap options for honey, despite the tariffs. I'm all fir buying American made when possible, but the tariffs are hardly putting foreign made items out of reach for the average American.

And a cop jumped out of the refrigerated section!

Now do corporate tax rates DUmbass DUchebag.

As others have pointed out, the goal of tariffs is to level the playing field between domestic and foreign suppliers. This Dummy mistakenly congratulates Trump for achieving that goal. And of course, she's upset that her buying choices might actually support American workers. Maybe it'd make her feel better if she found out the honey was harvested and processed by illegals.

I went to Costco yesterday and the hot dogs and soda are still $1.50, thee mustard and relish dispensers were full and there were plenty of napkins. And there wasn't a transvestite in sight. :-)

Here's a DUmmie being dumb:

11. I would like to buy honey but am somewhat confused about what kind to buy. They have so many choices.
What is raw honey? Is that good? What would you suggest? I could look it up on Google but sometimes that just confuses me even more.
[/b]
Let's ask Grok and see if he confuses us.
Raw honey is honey that has not been heated, pasteurized, or processed beyond basic straining to remove large particles like beeswax or debris. It comes straight from the honeycomb, extracted by crushing and straining, preserving its natural enzymes, antioxidants, vitamins (like B vitamins), minerals (such as potassium and iron)
Seems pretty straightforward. Sounds like the definition of "raw."
Is It Good?Yes, raw honey offers health benefits backed by science, though it's not a miracle cure and should be consumed in moderation (1-2 tablespoons daily for adults). Key advantages include:
And he goes on. I'm not the least bit confused. This reminds me of PaperRoses, who didn't dare make a move without consulting DU's advice. She then went on to take out a reverse mortgage, probably against good advice, and wound up in a peck of trouble. Stupid DUmmies.
