Retired U.S. Navy captain and former Virginia Republican Senate candidate Hung Cao was confirmed to serve as the Under Secretary of the U.S. Navy in a 52-45 vote by the U.S. Senate on Wednesday.

“As a refugee to our Great Nation, Hung worked tirelessly to make proud the Country that gave his family a home,” Trump said. “He went to our amazing United States Naval Academy, and later earned his Master’s Degree in Physics. Hung served in combat as a Special Operations Officer for twenty five years.”

The Washington Examiner reported that Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) was the only Republican to not vote to confirm Cao. Murkowski stated that she was “not comfortable offering” her support after having reviewed his “background and his qualifications.”
Cao retired at the rank of captain after 30 years' service, including deployments to Iraq, Afghanistan (his specialty was relevant), and Somalia. Being a captain, one rank beloe rear admiral, Cao would have lots of experience organizing and administering large teams.
Murk lied, Cao is well qualified. Murk should be honest. Was she buttering up Tim Kaine, against whom Cao ran for Senate? Did Murk vote Hate-Trump? Does Murk have a thing against SE Asians or immigrants who came to the US legally?

And what might be the new name of one of America's legacy coffee brands, you ask?
Buckle up, gang — here we go.
Maxwell House is being rebranded to "Maxwell Apartment," to reflect the changes in home ownership in America. I know, you can't make it up; the woke fools at Kraft Heinz already did.
A recent press release noted that nearly one-third of Americans are downsizing, choosing to rent smaller apartments instead of buying full-sized homes. Holly Ramsden, Head of Coffee for North America at the Kraft Heinz Company, said in the release:
Two-thirds of American adults drink coffee daily, and those costs can add up fast these days. Maxwell House believes everyone deserves great-tasting coffee. With Maxwell Apartment, we’re bringing the same classic flavor people love—at a price that reflects the smart choices our fans are making in their everyday lives.
Just as laughable, "Maxwell Apartment" will be marketed as available with a "12-month lease."

I'm a coffee semi-snob. We buy whole bean coffee and grind our own, enough for 2-3 days' use at a time. We don't buy exotic coffee beans, however.

After hitting a record low last year, Americans’ trust in the nation’s legacy media has now sunk even lower, Gallup reported Thursday, releasing results of its annual survey of U.S. adults.
When Gallup began the survey in 1972, 7 in 10 adults had either a “fair amount” (50%) or “great deal” (18%) of trust in newspapers, television and radio to report the news fully, accurately and fairly.
Today, 7- 10 have either “not very much” confidence (36%) or “none at all” (34%).
This year’s survey marks the first time that fewer than 3 in 10 U.S. adults have expressed trust in the news they’re being fed by the media. Confidence fell below 50% level in 2004, and hasn’t returned to that level since then.
I wonder, though, how many distrusting the MSM are Progs angry that the MSM are insufficiently biased against Trump, Rs, conservatives, and theologically conservative Christians and Jews.

While I know it came from a conservative site, I was still a natural skeptic until I checked the google machine and found that there were dozens of news stories regarding this.
Apparently Maxwell House (which was named after an historic structure somewhere) told Bud Light and Cracker Barrel to hold their beer and watch this. I'd be shocked that a major name brand would change its name to something so damn stupid and actually follow through.
Don't care, I drink Folgers anyway and I'm absolutely NOT a coffee snob. I just want the caffeine and not the elite snobbery. Haven't set foot in a Starbucks or another frou-frou coffee joint in over a decade.

Drinking Folgers is quintessential non-coffee-snobdom! :-) My parents drank MJB or Maxwell House ground coffee in 2 lb. cans, not sure if they ever used Folgers.

Upon finding out on Tuesday that the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) had deleted its entire “Glossary of Extremism and Hate,” I felt like a convict who has given up all hope of ever getting out of prison suddenly noticing that the door to his cell is unlocked and the guards are gone. For while popular indignation against the far-left defamation group for listing Charlie Kirk’s Turning Point USA (TPUSA) as an extremist group led the hatemongers to realize that they had gone too far, TPUSA was not the only unjust and unwarranted entry in the “Glossary.” I, for one, was on it, too.
As Rick Moran noted Thursday, the ADL “removed its ‘Glossary of Extremism and Hate’ from its website after numerous complaints from conservatives, including Elon Musk and Donald Trump Jr.” And in a revealing indication that the ADL was well aware of how dodgy the whole enterprise really was “rather than remove the entry, the ADL deleted the entire Glossary and said that it no longer considers TPUSA an ‘extremist group.’”
The SPLC needs a raft of slander and defamation lawsuits.

Harvard University hired a drag performer as a new professor — who is expected to teach a class on TV show “RuPaul’s Drag Race” in the spring semester, the Ivy League school announced over the summer.
The institution welcomed Kareem Khubchandani in a July message to the college community and revealed that the visiting professor from Tufts University will teach in the Studies of Gender and Sexuality program thanks to the Harvard Gender and Sexuality Caucus.
Khubchandani is perhaps better known by his stage name, “LaWhore Vagistani” — a persona that the academic has made an integral part of their pedagogy.
The professor will often lecture in the guise of “LaWhore,” which has been a personal project for over a decade, even spawning a music video titled “Sari.”
