So my 7th grade daughters study hall teacher saw her Obama
Advertisements [?]pin and told her that "Barack Obama is un-American, he won't say the pledge of allegiance". I called the principle and left a message for him to get back to me. Any input on how I should handle this would be greatly appreciated.

Bouncing green public school balls! :-) No teacher in their right mind would say what this teacher supposedly said! Just doesn't happen! Especially since most public school teachers are democrats! :whatever:http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=389x4007252

They can't even be creative anymore. It used to be a person could at least laugh at their attempts to convert the masses, now you almost have to cry at the attempts at posting a coherent sentence.

Just checked to see if greenbriar had weighed in as I am sure no moonbat teacher ever tries to inflict their politics on the class.

Update on my daughters wing-nut teacher
Advertisements [?]See the following link for context:
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.ph...

Her principal called me right away this morning, the new principal, an African American woman from Trinidad (I only mention this because she shared her discomfort about broaching the subject with the teacher, in case she tried to spin it into a "you're sticking up for him because your black" argument). She was shocked and appalled, assured me that this teacher was not only wrong, but that kind of proselytizing is against federal statutes. She asked my permission to talk to my daughter about this and said that although she believed my daughter was telling the truth, she fully expected this teacher to deny it.
About an hour later she calls me back and says I spoke with the teacher and not only did she not deny it, she believed she had every right to say it because "It was on the news" (wonder what network she watches  ). The principal quickly disabused her of this notion, gave her a warning that if anything like this ever happened again she would face formal disciplinary action. She also reassured my daughter that she has every every right to have whatever political swag she wants on her person or her backpack as long as it does not otherwise violate the dress code and told her that she was very proud of her for taking an interest in an important issue like politics!

Pretty good outcome IMHO

I have an ongoing battle with the Art Teacher at Ft. Belvoir elementary.

The moonbat seems to think that preaching his Global Warming crap to a bunch of 5th graders is relevant to art.

Take it to the principal -- and the School Board if necessary.  Also, make it clear that your child will leave the classroom if he brings it up again.

Several years ago my niece had to do a project for one of her classes, based on the premise of corporations causing deforestation of the rain forests.  Her teacher didn't appreciate the pictures of the burning forests caused by the native population .  :fuelfire:

Until I mentioned the principal last year he was going on about it all the time and it was upsetting to my daughter.

Once I mentioned taking it to the principal he shut up.

New year...now my son has him...we'll see if he starts running his mouth again.

If he does I'm going to the school board.
