Anti-Abortion 527 Launches Anti-Obama TV Ad

A new 527 has emerged. Called BornAliveTruth.org, the political organization says its mission "is to educate the public on the IL Born Alive Infants Protection Act and Senator Obama's record opposing this act."
In this TV ad, which is said to be airing in battleground states New Mexico and Ohio, a woman named Gianna Jessen says she survived an failed abortion, and criticizes Obama for voting against legislation that would have declared that if a baby survives an abortion its life must be saved.
“I’m a survivor, as are many others…but if Barack Obama had his way, I wouldn’t be here," she says. "Four times, Barack Obama voted to oppose a law to protect babies left to die after a failed abortion. Senator Obama, please support born alive infant protections. I’m living proof these babies have a right to live."
Jessen claims on her website to have survived her then-17-year-old mother's saline abortion in her third trimester.
We told you about this abortion vote that Republicans would use agianst Obama back in January.

There was a book out about 10? yrs ago called Gianna...it told the story of this woman, and her life. Wow. A very powerfyl read.

I saw this on Hannity and Colmes last night. They had her on. She repeated the fact that Obama voted four times against the bills that would protect a baby born alive after a botched abortion and then Allen accused her of accusing Obama of infanticide. She said something like, "What would you call it Allen".

this is the sort of issue that he didn't have to defend himself against in the primaries. no one in the dem party is going to take any issue whatsoever with a pro-abortion position or pro-abortion voting record.
but, my God, even the dems in congress voted for the federal born alive act . . .
I believe he will say that there was some provision in the federal bill that wasn't in the illinois bill, and that is the ground upon which he votes against it. but I don't know if it will keep this issue from resonating. and the MSM says that this guy is fully vetted because he has been running for president for 19 months? :whatever: he was running against other liberals. this guy is NOT vetted, he has been superficially observed running against a bunch of people that believe everything that he believes.

I saw that last night. Colmes' stance was sickening...how he had the AUDACITY to defend Obama was astounding. He tried to veer off topic by talking about the right to choose and she brought him back and said this is not about Roe v Wade..it's about being born ALIVE after a botched abortion. These moonbats are dead set against babies. They are evil.

She was on Hannity's radio program yesterday -- what a wonderful child of God. She is so optimistic -- almost everything she said was followed by a clear smile or laugh.
I felt humbled about complaining about stupid things like late flights when someone says they have been given the "gift of MS".
We all need perspective.

CP ...from being burned in utero when her birth mother was 7.5 months pregnant. She weighed 2 pounds at birth and from the lack of oxygen in utero while the womb was being injected with saline is probably what gave her CP. She was adopted and raised Christian. Truly amazing story and PROOF the liberals are WRONG.

Based on my hearing her on the program and the feedback here, she is a young Palin (with ZERO possible baggage)! If she can stay healthy, she may have a political career foisted on her, whether she likes it or not. And, given her very clear moral imperatives, she has the stones (forgive me, you know what I mean) to take the mantle.
Real values may very well win the day for the next 20 years.

thanks for the link. I was watching the Dodgers last night . . . . I'm not that big on hannity and colmes in general, although I enjoyed the brawl that hannity had with some pinhead author last week.
