SLAMABAD, Pakistan — Pakistan's military has ordered its forces to open fire if U.S. troops launch another air or ground raid across the Afghan border, an army spokesman said Tuesday.
The orders, which come in response to a highly unusual Sept. 3 ground attack by U.S. commandos, are certain to heighten tension between Washington and a key ally against terrorism.
Pakistan's civilian leaders have protested the raid but say the dispute should be resolved through diplomatic channels.
However, army spokesman Maj. Gen. Athar Abbas told The Associated Press that after U.S. helicopters ferried troops into a militant stronghold in the South Waziristan tribal region, the military told field commanders to prevent any similar raids.
"The orders are clear," Abbas said in an interview. "In case it happens again in this form, that there is a very significant detection, which is very definite, no ambiguity, across the border, on ground or in the air: open fire."

Where's Brock?
He's of trying to undermine our operations in Iraq. :whatever:
If the Paki's want to play this game...fine...every bit of aid we're providing them will suddenly shift to India if one bullet from a Pakistani Army rifle comes in the general direction of any U.S. soldier.

Old news.
But here's a twist:
ISLAMABAD, Pakistan (CNN) — Pakistan’s chief army spokesman denied a report that the military has ordered its forces to open fire on U.S. troops if they attempt another raid across the Afghan border.
Maj. Gen. Athar Abbas said Tuesday his statement to the Associated Press was taken out of context, and told CNN that the Pakistani military is maintaining the same rules of engagement as it has in the past.
“We reserve the right to retaliate in defense of our territory,†he said, adding that no specific orders had been given to engage U.S. forces.

Will they still take our money, even as we're exchanging gunfire?

Will they still take our money, even as we're exchanging gunfire?
What's stopping them when Barry O is trying to send Billions to the UN on top of the money we send now.
-
I'd cut them off just cause they threatened us.

Maj. Gen. Athar Abbas said Tuesday his statement to the Associated Press was taken out of context...
Well, that cannot be true. The AP is an unquestionable source. :censored:

Unless they have set this up with our military ahead of time with a wink and a nod to be for internal Pakistani consumption, they are opening a can of major whoop ass. Even as taxed as our forces are in Iraq and Afghanistan we could roll over the Pakistani military in that area in a matter of days. And no, we wouldn't need to hold it, just give them a bloody nose to teach them a lesson about threatening American troops.
