ICE is outside my granddaughter's summer camp!
My son and his family live in Washington, DC. My 4 YO granddaughter is in a Spanish immersion summer camp for a few weeks. Campers' parents got an email from the school this morning letting them know that ICE agents have been spotted around the school, as well as several unmarked SUVs. Because, you know, we've gotta keep the world safe from pre-schoolers learning a foreign language.
The school is encouraging everyone to go to this link: https://freedcproject.org/allies to send a message to your Senators and Congresspeople telling them to stop the Federal invasion of DC. I've just sent the message to our congresscritters, for what it's worth here in the hellscape of Florida.
I know many of you are already sending letters and making phone calls on a regular basis. Please consider going to the link and making your voices heard on this matter too.

1. Of course, educrats would never lie to create partisan hysteria ... e.g. neglect to point out that day laborers congregate at the Lowe's or Home Depot down the street, or simply make shit up.
2. I drive an "unmarked SUV", but I promise I am nowhere near DC. BTW, I wonder how many parents of the students at this summer camp also drive "unmarked SUVs" (SUVs replaced minivans as the munchkinmobile-of-choice 2 or 3 decades ago).

This never happened. Oh the summer camp lying might have happened but ICE being there never di unless on a totally other matter.

Was any DU-Denizen on the thread thoughtful enough to point out that children at a camp to learn Spanish are all but certainly not Hispanics who entered the US, illegally or legally? IOW, ICE agents would not be at all interested in the camp, if those agents even exist.

If they are there at all then ICE is probably there to nab illegals dropping off or picking up their kids. Go ICE!

Why would illegally-present Spanish-speaking people need to send their kids to a camp to learn Spanish? My Dad's parents were German-speaking immigrants, and they spoke German in their home. English was my Dad's second language.
