Bodycam footage from the Newport Police Department in Newport, Rhode Island, shows Special Assistant Attorney General Devon Flanagan pleading with officers not to arrest her and appearing to try to use her job as a state prosecutor to get officers to let her go.
"I'm an AG! I'm an AG!" Flanagan can be heard saying to police as they tried to detain her for failing to comply with their demands. "You're going to regret this. You're going to regret it. I'm an A-" Flanagan said as she was escorted to the back of a police car and the door was shut.
"Good for you, I don't give a s---," one of the arresting officers can be heard saying back at one point.
Talk about a diva attitude right there! :mental:

A special assistant attorney general in Rhode Island whose arrest for alleged trespassing was captured on video has been placed on unpaid leave, NBC affiliate WJAR is reporting.
The Rhode Island Attorney General's Office said Special Assistant Attorney General Devon Hogan Flanagan's leave will begin on Monday. A spokesperson for the attorney general's office said the incident remains under review and it's unclear how long the suspension might last.
Flanagan was arrested on the evening of Aug. 14 with a friend outside of a restaurant in Newport, and the whole incident was captured on police body camera footage.
During the incident outside the Clarke Cooke House, Flanagan can be heard telling officers she's "an AG" almost a dozen times. When she is placed in the back of a police cruiser, she tells the officer, "Buddy, you're going to regret this. you're going to regret it." She is also seen telling the officers to turn off their body cameras.
No Devon Flanagan, you are the one who is going to regret it!

What sad to think on is that but for the body cam footage being released by an astute PD, she might have been able to carry out her threats. PDs and SDs need to be ready withing minutes of an incident to release videos as soon as false accusations start flying on the Internet.
