McNabb... WTF!!!
He looked so good in the first half, how could he be so bone-headed in the 4th quarter? He sticks the ball out for Westbrook, then pulls it back as West tries to wrap it up, and at the last second, he tries to jam it back into West's arms, leaving West with no chance to handle the football. What, did he think Westbrook's arms were made of velcro and the ball would stick to his elbow??? Ball goes back to Dallas with 4:00 to go, they march right down the field and score on our soft-as-butter D (where was that big turn-over, Asante???), and I get to spend the rest of the seaon seething and listening to every talking head in the sports universe fellate the Cowgirls and Tony "Butterfingers" Romo in particular. ARRRRRRRRRRRGH!!! :badmood: :badmood: :badmood:

:leghump: "Oh Tony! You're God's gift to quarterbacking! You're so awesome, the way you fumble the ball in the endzone and on field-goal snaps... Tony, you're my man! Oh, Tony! You'll win a playoff game one of these years! I believe in you Tony!"

If I were a Cowboys fan, Marion Barber would be my favorite player. That man's a bull. He took over in the 2nd half an we had no answer for him.

Too bad the defenders didn't pick up on what happened -- that was a live ball and could have been picked up and run back.
I was watching in Mexico and the idiot local announcers talk over the refs -- what was the erason Philly got the ball back? I assume because they still had possession when the play was whistled dead.

The Eagles won't so anything until they get rid of McNabb. He's a good athlete but he can't think on his feet. He was lousy at Syracuse, too.

But what is it with Jackson? You hope he learns. You hope he realizes, after such a national-television faux pas, the downside of pride. You hope he knows now that hot dogs can result in worse things than indigestion. You hope, but you do not know.
"Things happen," Jackson said. "It was just one of those things. I was just overexcited, just trying to have some fun. I'm young, but I'm kind of mad at myself. I could have had a touchdown."
Only time will mature him. At the same time, say a prayer that maturity does not diminish him. Because Jackson is a star-in-training and no one can doubt. He finished last night with six catches for 110 yards. It would appear that the only thing that can stop him are an injury or, well, himself.

I dunno... he makes some outstanding plays when the pocket breaks down. Like every other QB, he needs a good team around him.
But that "handoff" to Westbrook in the 4th was an atrocious mental error, I agree. He lost the game with that play.

I will say, though, the Eagles had an incredible offensive line going last night...McNabb had forever to find a reciever!

In that respect he reminds me of Randal Cunningham, another Philly QB who couldn't quite make the next step. I thought Randal was more exciting to watch, tho.
There's maybe a handful of QB's in the NFL who are really thinkers on the field, and the rest are just better than all the other options out there

Man, Texas Stadium is an armpit -- I was there in 2006 and it was so badly maintained you would have thought it was in Lower Fort Worth.
The new stadium, which I have been watching being built on a weekly basis when I fly in (if we loop in from the east), looks great.

I live just a couple of miles from the new stadium. Obviously I drive by it every day, but it's still impressive how fast it seems that it's going up. It's going to be really nice. Too bad I'll be too poor to ever afford to actually buy tickets and see a game there in person.
And where's WE? He hates the Cowboys as well Red October. Not me, my daddy raised me on Cowboys football every Sunday.

Yeah, yeah, yeah. When the Cowboys have some playoff success THIS century, then you call me out.
And of course, on the *ahem* "off chance" Tony Romo doesn't deliver, I'm sure Michael Vick will be happy to be the next man in the long line of thugs to work for Jerry Jones.

I had a feeling that was what happened. It is a stupid rule that favors the stupid-play-maker. I will give better than 50/50 that the Rules Committee will look at this at season's end.
The rule should be that a fumble in the field of play that is blown dead before recovery by either team should go to the OPPONENT at the dead ball spot.
Otherwise the opponent is penalized by a ref mistake.

So we won a defensive battle today after playing not a lick of D last week. McNabb and Westbrook are both hurt, we'll know tomorrow how seriously. God help us if they're hurt again. :banghead: Should be a fun year. :cheersmate:

I don't know who the hell showed up in Foxboro to play today, but it sure as hell wasn't the Patriots.
Talk about your off games. :bawl:

Can't be 16-0 every year, sis! :-)
Even Tony the Lionheart loses every now and then. Usually in January...

OMG this boy has a horseshoe up his butt. Miles WHO??? :thatsright:

sorry man,
The Packers really let everyone down today.
They let the GayBoys come into Lambeau and pimpslap them. Unacceptable.
Rodgers got the spotlight and stunk it up. He can't close escrow. Period.

I am literally holding my breath waiting for the results of Westbrook's MRI. I'm starting to turn blue --> :whatever:
I'm ready for the news he's gonna miss part of the year... Please oh Please don't let it be the whole season!
-
Philly goes to Chicago next weekend. That will be a test against that defense without Westbrook.

Still haven't won a playoff game since the 1996 season.
And uh, how many playoff games has Tony Romo and Wade Phillips won? Huh?

I'm not a fair-weathered fan, I don't only root for the Cowboys when they're winning playoff games. My daddy raised me watching the Cowboys every Sunday. It's in my blood at this point.

PHILADELPHIA (AP)—Brian Westbrook limped around without crutches Monday. He could be back to running and slashing this week.
The All-Pro running back is day to day with a strained ankle, encouraging news for a Philadelphia Eagles team that can’t afford to lose its top offensive player.
“I’m sure it’ll be a race to get him ready for Sunday,†coach Andy Reid. “We’ll see how he does. I think we can manage it.â€
Westbrook injured his right ankle while hurdling a teammate on a 2-yard run on the first play of the second quarter of Sunday’s 15-6 win over Pittsburgh. He walked to the locker room without help, but didn’t return and left the stadium on crutches.
An MRI revealed no torn ligaments, Reid said.
“He’s limping around without the crutches,†Reid said. “I guess that’s a positive.â€

I think we were raised in the same house. Thanksgiving just isn't Thanksgiving if the ballgame (meaning Cowboys, of course) is not on the TV.

You get your wish... Mr. Favre is starting to remember why good players tend to avoid signing with the AFC's New York franchise.

I see Dallas is running the patented Zebra Defense. It takes a special group of guys to cough up two touchdowns and yet only see three points go on the board for the other team. ::) ::) ::) Holding my ass. :bs:

It's amazing how atrocious we are without Westbrook. One guy, no matter who he is, should not make or break the entire team. We don't just suffer talent-wise without West, we get stoooooopider in our playcalling. Lemme see... you're gonna run 4 TIMES IN A ROW directly into the teeth of Chicago's defense stacked up on the goal line, a team famous for it's big mongoloid line-backer? :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: I bet Andy Reid is still wondering why it didn't work. After it failed the first 3 times in a row, you'd think they might wanna try, oh I dunno... a screen pass maybe? A play-action, roll McNabb left, roll him right, let McNabb make a play somewhere OTHER than directly up the middle where all of Chicago's defenders are stacked? They would have done exactly that with Westbrook in there. I feel like I'm in John Madden's commercial where he's saying "that's stupid, you just don't do dumb things." Amen, John. Amen. :badmood:
This is gonna be long and painful till #36 is back :bawl:

And DeSean Jackson is starting to piss me off with his rookie ass. Way to give the NFC's most limp-dicked offense a free TD, rookie! :banghead:
