I just went for it... having a fully public event this Friday!
I mean, we'll see if anyone shows up, but just deciding to DO it was the big hurdle!
With my body issues and such, sometimes I never know if I am going to be up for a walk down the beach, much less holding an actual group event with strangers and being the leader/organizer of said group. But i decided the ONLY way to meet people locally and find the ones who want my type of sound therapy services, is to get out there. We all tend to be in our own loops, so an event is a good way to invite joy and play and community.
I'm doing a drumming circle at one of our more 'local' Lake Tahoe beaches. around 6:30 so after work-ish, before sunset... invited rattles, drums, ukeleles etc... There's an Astrological big date on Friday 8-8, followed by the Full Moon Saturday 8-9...so I can hopefully find some core folks to have full moon stuff with
..and I am bringing my oracle cards to see if anyone wants a quickie reading for a few bucks here or there ...otherwise it's free.
We'll see what kind of hippies/wierdos show up! LOL
