OHIO: Paid positions available with Ohio Campaign for Change. Interested?
(crossposted in GD-P)
This came to me through the my local Obama contacts in California
If you are interested and honestly can commit yourself to these long hours, please send me a pm.
I do not know what the rate of pay is, and I hope that wouldn't matter too much. These positions are paid positions, which means serious work and responsibilities.
The Ohio Campaign for Change is hiring immediately for positions in the Ohio Vote Corps
OVC Objectives:
- Running a targeted, efficient GOTV operation
- Street Team action aiming to generate earned media while educating Ohioans about early voting
- Building crowds for campaign events
- Pushing early voting
This is a 7 day per week, 14 hours per day job. It starts, at the latest, September 22nd. There are limited spaces and we're hiring ASAP.
OVC members must be willing to canvass for many hours at a time, phone bank, knock on doors in tough neighborhoods, and travel anywhere in Ohio. Bringing one's own car is not a job requirement, but is extremely desirable.

14 hours a day, 7 days a week ???? Unknown rate of pay ???? Where's the union ????
Hell, ain't no DUmmie going to do that. That's to much like being self-employed.

Part of me wishes I lived in Ohio so I could take part in this. I've always wanted to find out how to get the dead to vote. With this opportunity you'd probably learn that PLUS get paid.

For 98+ hours a week at what will probably prove to be less than minimum wage, the job would have to include free blowjobs to attract anyone but fanatics. Or possibly unemployed scammers fired by ACORN.

...knock on doors in tough neighborhoods...
Some veiled racism?
