I wish all of the sane Americans a Happy 4th today, and for the lurking DUmbAsses I have a special message...
If tomorrow all the things were gone I'd worked for all my life
And I had to start again with just my children and my wife
I'd thank my lucky stars to be livin' here today
'Cause the flag still stands for freedom, and they can't take that away
And I'm proud to be an American where at least I know I'm free
And I won't forget the men who died, who gave that right to me
And I'd gladly stand up next to you and defend her still today
'Cause there ain't no doubt I love this land

There must be a good reason why people from countries with socialists' economies sneak into this US capitalistic economy and refuse to leave. The liberals tell us that they are looking for something better than the socialist economy from where they fled. Imagine a place that is so bad that the men come here to pick vegetables and women come here clean toilets all day long.
And yes, we have never paid anyone, legal or not, to clean our toilets or mow our lawn. However, may I say that we have been paid to clean other people's toilets and mow other people's lawns. Some of these people who have paid us for this service have far less money than we do. And I say this as an individual with a + 7 figure net worth.

The DUmmies will all be two or three times more miserable than they usually are on The Fourth of July. :rofl:

This is a story that some folks don’t understand. When I first got into real estate I did very well and did so for several years. When I moved into the neighborhood that I primarily sold in, some of the people I sold houses to and those they were friends with took umbrage to that. Due to that my business suffered a little.
I worked harder. I did stuff I didn’t want to do, which was basically being social with these people. I’m not a social person.
The business came back but it taught me a lesson.
Those you work for don’t want to see you be successful. They prefer, for the most part, to see those who work FOR them, to be beneath them.
Jealousy is an ugly thing.

Well said. I work with a bunch of really good people, I mean that in all sincerity. However, of the few that I "pal" around with, I have the lowest salary in dollar terms but by far the highest net worth. I don't mean to sound self-righteous but here I am today on the birthday of this great country, the 4th of 6 kids born and raised by lower middle class parents, and I'm here sitting on my deck on a beautiful day, drinking a beer and eating a hotdog and reflecting on the fact that we, because we handled our finances well, and live in this great country that the liberals hate, we end up owning our place free and clear, own our cars, literally own everything and have with no debt and a financially secure retirement coming up in a few years. If I can do it anyone can do it. One thing it requires is you stay away from weed, you obey the laws and you mind your own business.
