We were moving forward

Boomer rant. We were moving forward for most of my life . Slowly, and for a lot of people, way too slow, but we were moving forward. I benefited from my father’s generation of WW2 combat, Then the courage of the civil rights workers. We never gave credit to the women’s suffragette movement, still the movement was forward. Now we have nazis ln the White House and an entire party and Supreme Court that has gone belly up before an insane Russian agent. No grand insight here, just momentary sadness that the sacrifices of those upon whose shoulders we stand are being erased.
It ain’t over and we’ll do what we can, but what a shame that we have gone so far backwards for a scheme that’s older than the freaking Romans . Divide and conquer 🤦?♂️

Divide and conquer is not the scheme at play with your party. Currently as displayed by the mayoral race in NYC, the scheme is promise anything to anybody to get their vote. After your man is in, blame those impossible promises on the Republicans roadblocking all the good things meant for the 'little people' and giving it to the 1%. Sound familiar?

We were demanding that guys be let into girls locker rooms, showers, and bathrooms. We were saying men can get pregnant. We were mutilating children. We were demanding opportunities and promotions based solely on skin color, sexual preference, identified perversion, and political leaning without any regard to skill level, ability, or character. Yes, we were moving toward a lunatic utopia constructed completely of bullshit. And not the stiff, grassy type of bullshit. But the runny, slimy, completely disgusting bullshit.
