What began as an anti–Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) protest, coordinated by rogue Marxist-aligned nonprofits, on Friday night in downtown Los Angeles quickly spiraled into riots and chaos, escalating by Sunday into what sure seems like 'insurrectionist behavior' against the federal government.
"Now violent, insurrectionist mobs are swarming and attacking our Federal Agents to try and stop our deportation operations — But these lawless riots only strengthen our resolve," President Trump wrote on Truth Social.
Trump continued, "I am directing Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem, Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, and Attorney General Pam Bondi, in coordination with all other relevant Departments and Agencies, to take all such action necessary to liberate Los Angeles from the Migrant Invasion, and put an end to these Migrant riots."

Update (1945ET): Another 200 Marines with 2nd Battalion, 7th Marines, 1st Marine Division based out of Twentynine Palms in California have been added to the count - making 700 Marines that will join the roughly 2,000 California National Guard troops stationed in Los Angeles over the weekend, US Northern Command announced Monday.

There was an attempted riot in SF, Sunday IIRC. SFPD arrested some 60 (would-be?) rioters. SF seems to have dealt with the (would-be?) rioters appropriately. Oakland's new mayor Baaa-Baaa Lee, probably not.

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) said Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers and their federal partners were assaulted by an illegal immigrant while executing a warrant Wednesday at a meat-producing plant in Omaha, Nebraska.
During the raid, ICE detained more than 70 illegal immigrants, some of whom had local warrants for their arrests, prior DUI convictions or had previously been deported, the agency said.
"Yesterday, an illegal alien from Honduras brandished a weapon and assaulted federal agents and officers who were doing their job: protecting American citizens, the public and businesses who are being victimized through identity fraud," ICE acting Director Todd Lyons said Wednesday.
"Let’s be clear — this wasn’t just someone ‘out of status.’ This was a violent criminal who attacked law enforcement while they were serving the public, which is why the term ‘criminal alien’ is a distraction.
