Lord Buffalo Drummer 'Forcibly Removed' From Plane and Detained by Border Patrol; Band Cancels European Tour
https://variety.com/2025/music/news/lord-buffalo-drummer-detained-by-border-patrol-1236397990/
Yamal Said, drummer of the Austin, Texas-based rock band Lord Buffalo, was forcibly removed from a plane and detained by the U.S. Customs and Border Patrol on Monday while en route to the band’s European tour; he has had no contact with his bandmates for two days, according to a social media post from the group. Said (pictured above, left) is a Mexican citizen but a legal permanent resident of the United States and holder of a green card, according to the post.
“We are heartbroken to announce we have to cancel our upcoming European tour,” the band wrote. “Our drummer, Yamal Said, who is a Mexican citizen and lawful permanent resident of the United States (green card holder) was forcibly removed from our flight to Europe by Customs and Border Patrol at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport on Monday May 12. He has not been released, and we have been unable to contact him. We are currently working with an immigration lawyer to find out more information and to attempt to secure his release.
“We are devastated to cancel this tour, but we are focusing all of our energy and resources on Yamal’s safety and freedom,” the post continues. “We are hopeful that this is a temporary setback and that it could be safe for us to reschedule this tour in the future. In our absence, our touring partners @orsakoslo will continue to perform the tour. We urge everyone to go see this amazing band and support them over the next couple weeks.”
According to the Austin Chronicle, Said has been an Austin resident since the 1980s, when his parents relocated the family here following an earthquake in Mexico City. He is a longtime staple of the Austin music scene and previously played with the band the Black, and also worked as a music instructor and substitute teacher at the Texas School for the Blind.
Variety has reached out to the band and its rep for further updates.

You get the idea. But in that very thread that has 63 replies is this post, which is being ignored.

Austin drummer's removal from flight appears related to criminal warrant, not immigration action
Austin drummer's removal from flight appears related to criminal warrant, not immigration action
Members of Lord Buffalo wrote on social media that their bandmate, Yamal Said, was removed from a flight leaving the Dallas-Fort Worth area Monday afternoon. The band was headed to Amsterdam to start their European tour, which they have since canceled.
Online jail records indicate Said is being held in a Tarrant County jail for allegedly violating a protective order, also known as a restraining order, at least twice in the past year. In Texas, this is a felony. A conviction could result in at least two years of jail time.
The warrant for Said’s arrest was issued by the Llano County Sheriff’s Office. KUT News reached out to the sheriff’s office in an attempt to get additional arrest documents Wednesday, but was not able to by deadline.
George Lobb, a criminal defense attorney in Austin, said removing someone with a felony warrant from an international flight is not unusual. “It’s not uncommon for people to get pulled off of planes entering the U.S. and departing from the U.S. when they have felony warrants," Lobb said.

This thread has ONE reply. That reply is a simple K&R.
Imagine that. This after they all just took a test about recognizing Fake News. :rotf:

Looking at the index for the OP thread, madville crapped truth in their hatefest. With Reply #s 46 and 47 ... no other DUmmie thought to BingGoogDuck the thugling's name or otherwise do a little searching of the Internet.
Reading a bit into the article madville risked posting, it sounds like Yamal Said beat up his GF/BF, probably multiple times, resulting in the Protective Order, which he violated twice.
As some wise guy said almost 3000 years ago: "The one who states his case first seems right, until the other comes and examines him." DU-folk don't check for the other side when the first fits their hatred and confirmation bias.

Yeah, from what I've read, he isn't a nice guy and earned his stay at the gray bar hotel.

In all 35 of their fans are devastated :lmao:
-
And once again the DUchebags prove that what they think happened is the exact opposite of what really happened.

And the streetwalkers in Amsterdam's red-light district.

Once again DU doesn't search for the real truth or let it get in the way of a good hatefest.

Before reading about the criminal warrant, I was questioning how an illegal was allowed to board an airplane after May 7 without a Real ID.

We're learning that in the eyes of Democrats, all elected Democrats are above the law, as are all...musicians? And if there IS a legitimate warrant out for arrest, it can only be executed at a time and place that's, like, cool, man.
Damn these people.

Even after it's revealed he was arrested for an outstanding warrant they are still showing their stupidity.

62. Better check El Salvador.
Or Libya. You never know where they kidnapped him to.
Um, apparently, he's being held at the Tarrant County jail in Texas. And are we going to start calling the arrest of all felons "kidnapping"?

67. They could have waited until he returned, but that wouldn't send a message.
ICE wasn't about to pass up the opportunity to sow fear into the non-white community right now.
Allow a person with a felony warrant to just hop onto an international flight hoping he comes back to be arrested? They seriously can't be this stupid.

I AM OOKING AT YOU STEPHEN MILLER,.
It's so funny when they get all hot and bothered over a completely false narrative.

What has got to stop? Arresting people with an active criminal warrant?

I have to imagine that not many passed the "spot the fake news" quiz recently posted at DUmmie land.
