herding cats

Whoa! My Lynparza cost right at $15,000 a month.
That's $180k a year or right at $493 dollars a day. I'm currently insured and I have to pay about $500 a month but there's some program (only for the insured) I'm getting on to lower that by a lot.
Still, these numbers are nuts just to stay alive.
For those wondering, it's to treat ovarian cancer. I just got off my extended chemo program and this is one of my maintenance drugs. In another 30 days they'll be adding Avastin to this regime and tab.
In August there's a real chance I'll lose my insurance and I'm, understandably, stressed. I don't want to die, but what do you do if you can't afford treatment? I'm not saying that as hyperbole. Seriously, what do you do?
Am I wrong in thinking this sounds insane?
Editing to add: This isn't about me, but all of us out there in this country. My cancer was stage 4 so I'm happy to be here right now. Still I'm only in my 50's and sure didn't plan on dying after going through all that hell that was chemo. Which was why I posted.
Too many people just can't afford to pay for our meds. It's not right.
This is a HUGE LIE!! I knew DUmmies lied, but damn.
There is no way. Not with Obama care being in place. Why would they lie on the black messiah?!

Would one not remove cancerous ovaries?

Only if there is a fetus attached, I guess.

We have ObamaCare. How can anything be wrong?

When you enter "This isn't about me" in the DUer to Normal People Translator it comes out as "This is all about ME".

As the song says, "Liar!". The market price for the uninsured with no special program, is a bit under $9,300, https://www.drugs.com/price-guide/lynparza . Far from trivial, but well under the DUmmie-Liar-claimed $15,000. Below the clickbait-grade thread title, DUmmie-Liar herding cats admits paying $500 a month (again, not trivial, but ~1/30 of the claimed price for "My Lynparza". DUmmie-Liar herding cats also admitted, below the clickbait-grade thread title that there is a program through which Lynparza can be obtained "free" (= paid for by those who pay open-market or very slightly reduced prices).
So DUmmie-Liar herding cats lied in the thread title about what (s)he pays (Lynparza may be used for pancreatic or prostate cancer), buried relevant facts that complicate his/her narrative, and gives no clue to understanding the costs of insurance-reduced and "free" prices.
Clue: When developing, testing, and clinical trials cost 10s or 100s of millions of dollars, the drug company will recoup its investment while its patent applies. Or they will go out of business.

If herding cats has to resort to an OhBummerDon'tCare plan to comply with that law, (s)he'll learn how poor the "benefits" are for the cost.

And thanks to Obamacare those who had really good insurance now suffer. They brought us all down.
