For anyone who wants to know how shitty late-stage capitalism is:
I had to write a medical provider note to a patient’s employer today. She has chronic hip pain, and stands for an entire ten-hour shift.
Her boss ordered her to get a note from her primary care provider (me) so she could lean against a stool every now and then on the job. Not sit down, not “jeez, take a break, you must be in so much pain!”. Just to lean against a stool.
I hate our ****ed-up species…

Jerk-bosses who demand employees provide doctors' notes go back centuries, if not millennia. In Socialism, workers who got doctors' notes to get accommodations did so at the risk of being imprisoned as "Wreckers". Jerkism is a human thing unrelated to economic systems.

Sounds like the product of decades of overregulation from the government and overlitigation from the ambulance chasers (two groups with a lot of overlap not only with each other, but with liberal/democrat/moonbats as well)

And this has to do with capitalism because.... :mental:

No matter how bad they think late stage capitalism is it’s way better than late stage communism or socialism :thatsright: :loser: :bird:

All jobs under Marxism are sitting positions, or something, I guess.

Withhold enough rations, and they're all reclining or supine...

Capitalism: Work or starve.
Socialism: Work and starve.
Oh BTW, this never happened.

In Canada you would not have to worry about a note as you would not have moved up the wait list enough to have seen your PCP to even discuss your hip pain never mind the wait to actually fix it.

I would imagine that in some socialist "paradises" they were just disappeared.

Yep. If this story is true, the employee needed to provide documentation of their physical limitations so the employer could provide ADA compliant accommodations to keep from getting sued by the employee or fined by the Government, or both. It's pretty standard policy, especially outside of the white-collar world. Over the years I've had to put several employees on "light-duty" for some temporary medical condition and required a doctor's clearance before I returned them to their normal duties. I don't really think the requirement is a bad idea, if it's not abused. Used properly the employee is protected from potentially injuring themselves worse and the employer is protected from liability.
What I would like to know is, if Aristus is so very much against capitalism, did he bill the patient for services rendered? And, as been pointed out numerous times over the years, why does he keep trying to present himself as a doctor when he isn't?

After my surgery last October I had to give my employer a letter stating how long I would be out from work and when I came back to work any limitations that I might have in order for them to fill my position during my absence and to accommodate any need to recover from my surgery. been doing that with my employers and with the Army since I got out of school back in 1977.

Companies differ. Last summer I "had to" email my manager letting him know that I may have been exposed to Covid (~1 hour in a car with someone who had Covid but did not yet know it). I let him know the precautions I would be taking to see if I was infected. I wasn't and returned to work several days later. The "had to" was so that I would not be a no-call-no-show, not anything unreasonable on the part of my employer.

That's one of the reasons that I don't understand DUmmies. Their overlords tolerate them only for their vote. Once they (the DUmmies) get the socialist "paradise" that they THINK they want, their overlords will have assumed total control and will no longer need votes. The DUmmies aren't able or willing to do anything productive so I'm figuring that they will be among the first to be "disappeared" by their very own overlords. Think about it, normal sane non-DUers are usually productive to society so the overlords will keep them around because of that productivity. Now, as you say, it's apt to be in a mine or something similar, but they'll use us until they use us up. Of course, before that gets too far the fighting will start so...

This victim stands for 10 hour shifts all the while suffering from chronic hip pain. And the best the doctor could come up with was " so she could lean against a stool every now and then on the job" ?(!)
I wonder if that phrase was carefully worded by Aristus' legal department.
