You can't unring the bell. Libel like that plays a substantial role in the leftist lunacy we see every day.

During testimony in a federal libel case, former New York Times opinion editor James Bennet expressed remorse to Sarah Palin for a 2017 editorial that inaccurately linked her political action committee to a 2011 shooting. Bennet, tearful and emotional on the stand, admitted to having “blew it” by erroneously connecting a graphic from Palin’s Political Action Committee (PAC) to the attack that severely injured Rep. Gabby Giffords and killed six individuals. He openly apologized to Palin, acknowledging the error publicly.

It wasn't an error, and this candy-ass's apology shouldn't mitigate the case against him in the slightest. It was a deliberate, knowingly bullshit attack which he made with the full intention of dragging down her ability to resist the leftist scum's march thru the institutions.
IMHO, they should be able to repeal the 13th Amendment just for this guy, so that she could OWN HIS ASS in perpetuity.

Recent court cases lost by MSM-slanderers have made the possibility of slanders having consequences realistic. Palin's case might extend and broaden that accountability to encompass public figures who had been safe targets for slander.
