It just occurred to me why they may not want to return Kilmar Garca
I might be off base, but it seems odd that this one man is the hill they're willing to die on. Just one guy they could easily return, but they hold steadfast.
García can talk. He can describe in frightening detail the kind of un American torture being administered by Trump and his heartless cabinet. It may well be beyond what we even imagine, like Holocaust level. Something they have no qualms about but don't want to be all over the global media.
If it comes down to Trump being cornered into returning him, he may just meet with an unfortunate "mishap" in prison.

El Salvador's government has invited reporters to visit and tour their prison. It's an unpleasant place (but not of torture), as a prison should be. El Salvador is not hiding anything.

Your mouths are open and their ears are closed. They won’t listen to the fan that he’s been to court twice. He’s got two deportation orders. He’s a convicted gang member/terrorist and now that he’s in his home country his president refuses to give him up the Supreme Court or any of the Democrat people jumping up and down, have absolutely no authority in El Salvador so they need to sit down and STFU.

Dems are supporting a perpetrator of domestic violence.
Then Leavitt brought the focus back to the most basic fact of the matter. “He was illegally inside our country and had a lawful deportation order,” she said. “That made him subject to removal back to his home country of El Salvador.”

Leavitt then pointed to the recent Supreme Court ruling as the final word. “The United States Supreme Court ruled unanimously that the president of the United States and the secretary of state could not be compelled to forcibly retrieve this citizen of El Salvador who is currently locked up in a maximum security prison in his home country due to his MS-13 membership.”
The order was to "facilitate" Garcia's return, not effect it (the MSM are lying about this court order). Trump had to ask El Salvador, and arrange transportation and escort of they said "Yes", but El Salvador said "No", to Trump and to the Maryland Moron (Senator).
