DU reacts to the SCOTUS ruling in favor of Trump's use of the Alien Enemies Act as if it is unprecedented.

The Republic Has Fallen
With the SCOTUS given the green light to send people to foreign torture prisons, with or without due process, the United States of America has officially collapsed and is now in a new era of dictatorship.
There are no laws. We now only live to serve the will of the Mango Mussolini.

1. The Trump Gestapo can come after any of us now.
Yes it is the end of the rule of law.
Supreme Court ended our freedom.

4. They didn't give a green light.
The case related to sending people to foreign torture prisons is still at the District Court level.
The order to bring back a specific person was put on hold by the Supreme Court, while they hear from both parties. This is frustrating, but relatively standard procedure and the briefing is extremely expedited - Garcia's attorney has to respond by tomorrow.
Yes, things are horrendous - but please don't make them worse than they are.
Different case, dipshit.

17. In my opinion, this is truly the end of our democracy.
When one cannot get their day in court before a jury of peers and potentially be shipped off to a prison in another land, our republic is indeed finished off. This has caused me a great deal of stress and fear today. It is not safe here. For anyone. And yet, I have few options.
No, what SCOTUS said is the precedence for use of the AEA is the same for Trump as every other time it was employed. Those deported can file a writ of habeas, but that is different from the TROs the leftist courts have illegally applied. The leftist courts were using TRO instead of injunction because injunctions can be appealed, TROs cannot. The courts were trying to deny the government the due process they swear they only want to preserve. SCOTUS saw ight through that BS and declared they interpret the TROs as injunctions subject to appeal.
A habeas filing must be filed in the physical jurisdiction of the location where appellant is being held. If you're hemmed up in Texas, you file in the 4th Circuit - <snork> - not DC. Additionally, in a habeas filing the appellant can be held in custody pending resolution; not turned back on to the streets as these commie judges want to do. That's not going to do Tren de Aragua much good.
Anyhoo...I suspect lefty will get more violent after this. Keep your head on a swivel and be prepared to defend your homes and your republic.

When one cannot get their day in court before a jury of peers...
It could be argued that illegal aliens do not have peers which are American citizens.

The entered the country ILLEGALLY you dunce! Therefore they are eligible to be deported to the exotic destination that we choose.
Obey the law, or FAFO.

Are DU-grade Progs capable of describing the real effects of a court decision with which they disagree instead of screaming out their fantasy falsehoods? Are they afraid telling the truth might lead some people to agree with the decision? The more and more crudely DU-grade Progs lie, the more they demonstrate their need to avoid and obscure what is true.

In the eyes of a liberal, courts are either as infallible in jurisprudence as Catholics believe the Pope is infallible in matters of faith, or a bought-and-paid-for sham bent on reestablishment of the Reich.
The other group that sees everything in utterly black and white terms: toddlers.

CECOT is not a "torture prison." It's got very strict rules but they do not torture inmates there.

Unless DU has members who are both illegals and members of a violent gang, Bogey-Trump ain't coming for any DU-Denizen. This USSC ruling has zero to do with US citizens. Not that many - if any - DU Denizens give a @#$% about any fact they don't want to hear or be heard.

To bad we can't send them to a prison in Antartica.

Yeah, you are right, and I guess we could just send them to Libya and let them build a prison in the Sahara.

No! No! No! :thatsright:
You build DUmpf Stalag Ein on the ARCTIC ice pack, not the Antarctic and not the Sahara. Instead of a minefield we could spread seal guts around the perimeter, and the polar bears will happily dispose of the more ambitious DUmpf'Rats incarcerated there. :-)

It would be nice, if just once, they'd take the compassion that they show toward illegals, criminals, terrorists, and bloated government programs that are parasites on the innocent tax paying citizens and direct some of that compassion to the innocent tax pay citizens being negatively affected by those that they so lovingly support.
