Dow plunges 2000 points
MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!

Am I the only one who remembers DU when it was full of hippies and theater kids who flounced around with John Lennon glasses and ridiculed the stock market as a rigged casino and 'bread and circuses'? I sure do. (https://www.democraticunderground.com/100220207619)

Now it's full of investment experts. Self-described experts, I mean: a real expert would be intensely focused on the cashing in on their shorts and hedging longs with thoughtful puts and a few more calls. I was surprised when it was revealed that the emotional wellbeing of liberals depended crucially upon how many people the government employs. I am positively floored to learn that real liberal nirvana is the eternal inflation of the DJIA, aided by unceasingly loose trade, monetary, and fiscal policies.  I never knew that! I missed the chapter in Marx where he demanded that governments borrow infinitely to pay for shit we don't need and can't afford, often on behalf of countries that have been bending us over?

2. Thank you, Trump. Now you have totally ruined my golden years altogether.

Even a small caliber will solve that for you, given the close range I recommend.

3. Join the club.

I will never join a club for which dues are paid in booty shorts and lube.

What will the life of this talking point be? A few weeks, like the stupid Musk is stealing Social Security claim? A couple of months like the Egg Prices stupidity? Should we start an office pool? I'll take the May 9th square.

It appears that some countries are acquiescing, which should cause a comeback of sorts on Monday. I give this another week or two, tops.

I'm sure there are plenty of DU threads denouncing the stock market, especially 2017-2019 (and in GWB's years as well).

Covid and virus experts.
Mask experts.
Inflation experts.
Ukraine and Russia military experts.
Dementia experts.
Now stock experts.

As for me, My put options are paying out beyond what I thought. I knew the democrat hedge fund rapists would do their best to hurt America financially.... and they are.

Next week sometime I'll be buying some close to in the money call options as I expect a fairly quick snap back. Just wish I had made some bets on the VIX.

Maybe you should translate that for the benefit of DU Onlurkers.

Nah the DUmbass DUchebags are DUw Jones experts. I'm sure they have a much better plan.... like sell everything (as if they had some stock market $) low, take the loss, and buy back high. That's true Bidenomics.

Patience is not a DUmmy virtue, as it cannot be signaled in a performative manner.

Markets will recover the losses over time.

TDS victims usually don't recover.  (But it is possible. Both Musk and Vance overcame TDS.)

To recover, they need more than five working brain cells and an IQ above 10 then they need to turn off the poisonous this information, misinformation and gloom and doom predictions from the mainstream media.
Otherwise, they will never recover. :thatsright: :loser:
