Democrat Flips Florida County That Donald Trump Won by 19 Points
Gay Valimont has flipped Florida's Escambia county, which strongly backed President Donald Trump in the 2024 election.
Valimont, a Democrat, lost the special election for Florida's 1st Congressional District on Tuesday night to the Trump-endorsed Republican candidate, Jimmy Patronis.
But in Escambia, Valimont leads Patronis by 3 points, with more than 95 percent of votes counted. At the 2024 presidential election, Trump won Escambia by 19 points on a higher voter turnout.

When I went to bed both of the Florida races were called for the Republicans. Get to the office this morning and see this headline and think, wonder what happened here. Read the article and figure out pretty quick that it was a Click Bait headline. She won one county and it's interesting to note they compare her victory in that county against DJT's numbers, not Gaetz's numbers.
The media must do better than this. Post wishful thinking as a headline? Come on!! They were so sure that people are SO upset with Trump that they were going to win all these seats without even a fight that they probably wrote the headline a week ago.
