Our phone just rang...hell froze over

A lifelong friend, that has never been political, asked for advice. How do I get involved in the anti-Trump movement. I guess people are waking up. He is going to the HANDS OFF rally next Saturday in Omaha to start.

     How many of the hundreds of aging hippies who show up at these paid protests actually drive Teslas as well? Up until January, a Tesla was second only to a trans kid in terms of prestige for these assholes. Some of these people are making their Tesla payments by pretending to protest Tesla.

A lifelong friend, that has never been political...

Allegation 1: OS has a lifelong friend. Not believable.

Allegation 2: That a DUMMY, a poster on the political nuthouse known as democrat underground, where they disown their mothers and fathers and siblings for being non political or *gasp* being political in non-leftist ways, would be friends with someone non-political. Again, not believable.

These people have the selfawareness of a turnip, a small one.

I'm going to be trying a (very) mental experiment in the next few days, because commuting to work is boring, based on the following:

* I'm pretty sure Silicon Valley has a higher percentage of Teslas than most of the US; Tesla started out in San Carlos, an SF Peninsula city, and its current manufacturing is across the Bay in Fremont; many Silicon Valley techies are also gadgeterians, to whom Teslas are attractive;

* California has used the same license plate numbering format since the 1980s, and I can guesstimate when a license plate was issued; for that reason, I can recognize a Tesla that is a year old, approximately how long good little Proggies have been hating Elon Musk and Tesla;

* Santa Clara County voted Trump ~30% in 2024, so most Silicon Valley people are liberal or Prog.

I can't be stupid enough to stare at license plates at 60 mph instead of focusing on the road, but this AM I saw at least 2 non-incinerated Teslas that were bought in the past year. I may see a couple/few more in my work parking lot and parked near where I work if I am able to walk around the block during lunch time (some rain this AM).

I actually had 5 friends call me this weekend. Each one of them told me that, although they'd never really been involved with politics, they'd always considered themselves democrat but was tired of what the democrats were doing. They asked what they could do to help Trump.

I guess my 5 made up friends trumps Steve's one made up friend.

If you're lurking Steve, since you're making stuff up, you should always remember to make it up big time.

Since it is this weekend. The weather in the Omaha area is calling for some rain in the morning on Saturday. I have no idea where they are going to protest but if they come onto the place where I work the cops will be called and they will be removed if they fail to leave. In the past couple of weeks, I have noticed at least a dozen Tesla's around the mall property and the least thing we need is someone to turn one into Mount St. Helens.

The best way to get political is to key a swastika into a Tesla. (And smile for the camera while doing it.)

I've been paying attention recently to Tesla's license plates during my commute (I'm easily amused). I noticed a couple of things: I've seen 5 to more than 10 per day that I know (from the plate number) were bought in the past year, when Proggies have been hating on Bogey-Musk. The other thing is that here in Silicon Valley, there are a LOT of older, un-incinerated, non-keyed Teslas on Silicon Valley freeways.
