Walz is doing his very best as we speak.
I really wonder if the left is just plain stupid: there are a few hundred Dem operatives who make policy and set strategy, and they choose what gets said and by whom. This cartel pays for the people who go to rallies by assholes like Walz, and these rallies are dutifully reported by compliant news organizations. This "news" is consumed by people with blue and pink hair who watch television and complain for a living.
At NO point in that entire cycle does this closed network even attempt to influence actual voters except in the most oblique of ways. I get that the point of it is to create "buzz," but don't the people who fund all of this get that it's utterly artificial? I completely understand how DU gets influenced by this apparatus, because those people are stupid. But why do people with millions to spend continue to spend?
Maybe they're just experimenting. For example, the young idiot black woman Jasmine Crockett, well-born and educated, has been instructed to strut around and behave like a hood rat. Why is she suddenly Stepin Fetchit? Think about it:
- Acting ghetto makes her more appealing to liberal white women, who would otherwise disregard a well-spoken black woman. Net positive votes.
- A Shaniqua-type hoodrat-acting black woman is more likely to intimidate liberal white men than appeal to them. Net positive votes.
- Sounding and acting that way also appeals to the voter constituency that was chosen for her. Net positive votes.
- Conservatives are completely irrelevant to any personality imposed on her, as she is a liberal Democrat. DOes not figure in the analysis.

Jasmine Crockett has chosen shtick that fits Progs' stereotype of how a black woman should act and talk. How much of the shtick she has internalized, :shrug: . I don't care, actually.

Every thing you mentioned is to secure a base not appeal to new voters.
It is a silent admission by the consultants that the party is in dire shape but still ring the cash register.

And that's how we got 2024 - a lot of people exited the reservation when it became clear that Dem consultants from San Francisco and Cambridge are more interested in the happiness of 25000 or so gender confused freaks than actual American problems.
I would have thought that at least one or two of these Dem shot-callers can see that they're going to walz* it again in the midterms by doubling and tripling down on men beating women up on playing fields and spending trillions more than we produce. I suppose not.
* - walz - verb - to make a disastrous decision based on a set of false premises, magical thinking, and outright delusion.
