I've lost more that 10% of my savings in less than a week!

Thank you Dementia Donnie!

Serves you right for not being diversified, moron, but in any case the markets ebb and flow. Anyway, aren't you the people who call the markets a rigged casino? (https://www.democraticunderground.com/100220129571)

1. me too and my broker won't return my call

Your broker? Maybe he drove to lunch at Steak & Ale in his Lincoln Continental Mark V. After all, it IS 1979. Your BROKER?

I try to talk to my broker as little as possible because he's a tRumper and he can be a real pain in the ass. But he's fiscally conservative and I've done well by him. I think I'm just going to ride this one out.

I try to talk to 1979 as little as possible, too: lots of 9s makes it annoying to use this rotary phone. Broker, my balls. If you have a "broker" that managed to lose you 10% of your savings in a week, you either had $50 invested OR your "broker" sucks.

Suddenly this group of elderly assholes braying for their SS checks so they can keep up the rent on their 40-year-old trailers has "brokers." Weed brokers, maybe.

Anybody who doesn't understand that the stock market has both ups and downs and that both are usually responses to factors more or less unrelated to the US government should not invest in the stock market.

I wonder how many DU whiners have stock, unreported, and are on government social programs.

Almost all of them. Their "brokers" are the guys behind the counter at the convenience stores who have to keep repeating, "No, sir, they stopped printing Screw Magazine many years ago. We don't stock it."

Plus clerks at their favorite dispensary.

How could anyone not see this coming? I did. The market HATES uncertainty and that's what Trump promised so after he got elected I expected the market to swing wildly for at least six months until the tariff wars settle out. At the end of his second term I think the US market will be in good shape. That's why I voted for him.
