This one is going to bite them in the ass. The information is being posted now. It started posting early this morning and I'm waiting to see if anyone will resurrect this OP.
Update: It’s 5:20 pm ET on Monday, Feb. 17 and DOGE has not posted any of the promised receipts.

When DOGE launched a website earlier this week, it promised to post “receipts” of its work “no later than Valentine’s Day 💘.”
Valentine’s Day came and went. But the receipts never materialized.
Now DOGE has amended its deadline: “Receipts coming over the weekend!”
They expected everyone to forget.

CNN and the NYT will be all over this! (sarcasm tag) Of course it's completely unacceptable, but they will ignore or normalize it. C'mon Dems, start demanding the receipts! This one is easy to understand.

As pretty much all working people know, Monday February 17, 2025 was a bleeping Federal Holiday! Did any DU-Denizen have the knowledge and honesty to point this out?

If you pointed that out they would simply say "DOGE is supposed to working around the clock, that's what we were told."
I think the information was just so overwhelming it took them a bit to get it all sorted to upload to the website.
I've just given the site a cursory look, but damn, what I saw in the small timeframe was mind blowing!

Just 11 Replies, most recent was ~17 hours ago, none that mention that Monday was a holiday. Seemingly, quite a few DU-Denizens recognized this lie-by-omission, but just moved on rather than risk an internecine brush fight or getting FFRed.

Texacon, appreciate that link.

Texacon, appreciate that link.
I haven't had much time to peruse it yet, but what I've seen so far is absolutely frustrating and it's going to be hard for anyone to argue that we should be spending that kind of money on certain things, and some of them, why are we spending money on them AT ALL?!

The problem is going to be that most people are not going to understand what these "receipts" mean. They are using data dumps straight from the Federal Procurement Data System which are going to seem like gibberish to people unfamiliar with Government contracting. Also, they are referencing "zombie contracts" which for whatever reason were not properly closed out in the procurement system. For example, the contract at the top of the list when you go to https://doge.gov/savings (https://doge.gov/savings) is this one: https://www.fpds.gov/ezsearch/jsp/viewLinkController.jsp?agencyID=9507&PIID=9523ZY19F0048&modNumber=P00001&idvAgencyID=&idvPIID=GS02F026DA&contractType=AWARD (https://www.fpds.gov/ezsearch/jsp/viewLinkController.jsp?agencyID=9507&PIID=9523ZY19F0048&modNumber=P00001&idvAgencyID=&idvPIID=GS02F026DA&contractType=AWARD).
This contract had a period of performance of 06/28/2019 to 09/30/2019. The total contract value of $21,382.14 has been fully obligated. The only reason this contract popped up is that it was never properly closed out, even though no additional actions against the contract could be taken (hence "zombie contract", dead but still kicking around in the system). Closing it now is just correcting a clerical error. The doge.gov site correctly notes that the closure of this contract results in a zero-dollar savings, but it still is confusing to most people and is the type of thing that can be used to misrepresent what is actually going on.

you know I find it a bit odd that over these past few years with Trump in office and again the past month that the DUmmies are having the meltdown they are having when many years ago ,One of their own Democrats was a big champion of stopping wasteful spending. Ladies and gents, I give you, Sen. William Proxmire of Wisconsin.

They expected everyone to forget.
The "they" is actually your overlords in the dem party who were blowing and fleecing tax payers money. The "everyone" is their minions (aka as DU members) who do as they are told.
The DUers ought to think of it this way...
They've been good minions to their overlords. When their overlords say "jump", they quickly start jumping. When their overlords say believe a lie, they immediately believe the lie no matter how far-fetched and separate from reality it happens to be. When their overlords say "hate that person (or group)", they immediately focus their hate on said person (or group). DUers, while liars, leeches, and dregs of society, honestly are good minions to their overlords. Shouldn't a caring overlord share a piece of the fleeced pie with a good minion? How many of the millions of dollars that their overlords have fleeced have they shared with their DU minions?
