How in the Hell did we get here.

Forty five years of republicans sucking the oxygen out of any attempts at progress some examples a woman’s choice to decide abortion or equal rights for our LGBTQ brothers and sisters or national healthcare.

All done hand in hand with angry whites and the evangelical splinter groups who want to transform our republic into a white nation or Jesus land.

I’m up drinking coffee reading news for the past week now i do try and read on the road yet on road in bunk on rest well as of now I'm rereading the Dune series it’s been probably forty years since i picked up Frank Herbert and i do see some similarities from reread to issues we have at this moment.

Sunday morning is my time to decompress and bring myself up to speed riding as a passenger on this train destination the total destruction of two hundred forty nine years of democracy.

And we’re not stopping at progressive station now sit down and read your Trump bibles printed in China the conductor yells.

And in doing so this morning I’m reading about Representative Sarah McBride and in how she was introduced on the house floor by the way good people of Delaware your aces in my book in voting for her now that is progress.

Yet how F…ing ignorant can you be well we all know how ignorant they are to give such an introduction as Mr. Mcbride.

Yet I’m reminded of the saying that we are all made in the image of God. And a conversation I once had with a good friend as we sat and ate M.R.E.’s leaning up against our 113 (113 is armor personnel carrier).

And listening to some chaplain give a sermon to those in the platoon who chose to worship and me personally i avoided those moments of worshipping why you because never trust a chaplain.

And the chaplain was rambling about how we are all made in the image of god. And my good friend article 15 that was his nickname his hobby collecting Article 15’s (U.C.M.J.) kicks my boot and asks me hey E-tool you hear that chaplain he said we’re all made in his image and that means god is a grunt.

What do you suppose he does and the conversation was all in humor god is probably the company first sergeant definitely a the top sergeant first shirt i replied and his boy is definitely the company clerk.

A dyslexic bad punctuation ramble yet if we’re all made in his image then perhaps this higher power is trans as well.

For goodness sake, go back to the truck stop bathroom and hug your Jim Beam bottle.

You lost elections. Elections have consequences. In 2024, American voters rejected Kammie and rejected her I-would-not-change-a-thing message. In 2024, American voters rejected LIEden's and Kammie's policies. Contrary to his imagining, LIEden would also have been rejected, as or more decisively.

Six months later LBJ starts to send millions of US draftees to fight communism and support European colonialism in Vietnam’s civil war.

1. LBJ was a Democrat:

:ownit:

2. France left Vietnam in 1954, 9+ years before Kennedy was assassinated. There was no "European colonialism in Vietnam" to support. South Vietnam was trying to stay free of Stalinist monster Ho Chi Minh. He died during the war, but millions of South Vietnamese paid for not having stayed free with their lives and/or years in "reeducation" camps. Others paid for escaping with being raped, having their meager possessions stolen, and then years of worrying about family members that did not leave. Duncanpup/TEB might or might not remember some of this, if he's sober. I'm a bit older and grew up during that time. I also have had Vietnamese immigrant coworkers whose father survived a "reeducation" camp or escaped Vietnam by boat.

Establishment politicians sucked at governing, that's how. If they had done their jobs, there wouldn't be a need for President Trump.

Not to mention the fact that the Democrats were in Charge for most of teh Vietnam war starting with Kenedy and then LBJ. The Democrats in charge of Congress cut of the funding to the South Vietnamese forcing them to fight with what they had left. We all know how that went and many of their people were forced t flee Uncle Ho's troops that shouldn';t have had to.
