Title: A friend of mine who says his party affiliation is Independent (REEEE! Bouncy)
Post by: FunkyZero on January 16, 2025, 10:03:30 AM
Sumary: This defect gets a gift he doesn't like from a FRIEND, and he rams it back in his fact to display his hate.
You know, DUmpass, when someone gives me a crummy gift (which happens sometimes), I smile, thank them, tell them I love it... then never use it.
You are the most vile, hateful, and childish "people" I have ever seen.

A friend of mine who says his party affiliation is Independent
Had given me a $100.00 gift certificate from Amazon
as a Christmas gift. I have never used Amazon & never will. I have been debating on what to do with this gift. He came by this morning to have coffee & I had decided yesterday to return the gift to him.

I gave him back the gift certificate & said thanks but no thanks and explained to him that I could not in good conscious do business Amazon because of the CEO & what he stands for.

His feelings were hurt & said that's just ****ing stupid. He also stated to me that using my political affiliation to try to hurt a company is really ****ing stupid.

We never talk politics because of our friendship and he has been a really good friend. I don't know how he voted in the election but I will say this, nearly all Independent's I know are closeted republicans and are ashamed of their party, but not ashamed enough to stop giving them their vote.

In closing I will say this, not not shopping at Amazon may not hurt the bottom line but at least I feel better about myself. Also I have another thread where Symbolism has been talked about and the it doesn't really matter attitude doesn't sit right with me, especially now.

Thanks for listening.

You wrecked a good friendship for absolutely no reason?  Sounds exactly like a DUmmy. F***in' grow up or grow away.

... something to ponder. Hyper-Capitalists/Fascists do not sit well with you, little room for ambiguity.

Yes, it will. It'll go something like this:  "How was I ever friends with someone so hateful, childish and selfish and not realize it? I'll never behave like a Democrat"

I wonder how many "hyper-capitalists" companies products were between William769's and magicarpet's fingers and DU's servers and DB storage.

It's a gift card. Your friend already paid for it.

Constructive way you chose to virtually, throw it in his face.
How rude.
If a friend , probably not a friend anymore, gives you something, you say thank you, a real friend doesn't act like that.
Don't use politics to be that way.

Only one person called him out for being a dousche bag. :thatsright:

forget that they are pretty unusual in the aspect of being as political we DU people are. The majority of people don't think much about politics in their daily life. If at all. Where they shop is a non-issue. Who they associate with is a non-issue

Their lives are dictated by following the party line and everything else is wrong. :thatsright: :loser: :loser: :mental:

Honest to God, if I were a newbie over there and read that OP, I would drop DU like a hot potato.  Who wants to be associated with that?  What a vile, rotten, assholish story.   Who acts like that?  And only one DUmmie called him out?  The DUmp is so extremely toxic, it's literally poisoning its members.

The missus still shops at Sam's Club occasionally. But she's always careful to let me know what her purchases were so I don't eat/use them. Haven't for 25+ years. Sam Walton was "Buy American" to a fault. His heirs were the exact opposite.

No DUmbass has pointed out that these products being discussed have already been purchased, and the Bezos and Waltons have already booked the profit.  Who do they think they're hurting again?

OP DUmmie got very mixed responses, though not many went AFTER him. This Reply was interesting:

They don't party line vote. If they vote.
...

LPC, fairly new. Being realistic like that doesn't often play well on DU.

10. Depends on what I'm buying.
Normally store brands. But I do use https://www.wayfair.com/ quite a bit.

Revenue   Decrease US$13.71 billion (2021)
Operating income   Decrease US$ −94 million (2021)
Net income   Decrease US$ −131 million (2021)

In May 2017, Wayfair's share price rose above $70 per share, making Shah and his co-founder Steve Conine both billionaires. As of April 2022, his estimated net worth was $1.6 billion

I can’t believe someone could be so pathetic. I’ll admit I would never buy ben & Jerry’s ice cream because of their politics but these dump monkeys take it to a whole new level  :thatsright:
